2020-07-01rtc: remove fb-puv3 driverMike Rapoport
The unicore32 port is removed from the kernel. There is no point to keep stale RTC driver for this architecture. Signed-off-by: Mike Rapoport <rppt@linux.ibm.com> Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Acked-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net>

2019-08-21rtc: remove superfluous error messageAlexandre Belloni
The RTC core now has error messages in case of registration failure, there is no need to have other messages in the drivers. 2019-08-13rtc: Remove dev_err() usage after platform_get_irq()Stephen Boyd
We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch. // <smpl> @@ expression ret; struct platform_device *E; @@ ret = ( platform_get_irq(E, ...) | platform_get_irq_byname(E, ...) ); if ( \( ret < 0 \| ret <= 0 \) ) { ( -if (ret != -EPROBE_DEFER) -{ ... -dev_err(...); -... } | ... -dev_err(...); ) ... } // </smpl> While we're here, remove braces on if statements that only have one statement (manually). 2017-08-22rtc: puv3: make alarms usefulAlexandre Belloni
Currently, the driver unregisters the IRQs when the rtc character device is closed. This means that the device needs to stay open to get alarms while the usual use case will open the device, set the alarm and close the device. Move the IRQ requests to puv3_rtc_probe() and use the devm managed versions so we don't need to free them. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com>

2013-11-13drivers/rtc/rtc-puv3.c: use dev_dbg() instead of pr_debug()Sangjung Woo
Because dev_*() are used along with pr_debug() function in this code, the debug message is not tidy. This patch converts from pr_debug() to dev_dbg() since dev_*() are encouraged to use in device driver code. 2013-07-03rtc: rtc-puv3: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d063100 ("device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound"). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. 2013-01-03Drivers: rtc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-01-10rtc-puv3: solve section mismatch in rtc-puv3.cGuan Xuetao
The patch renames puv3_rtcdrv to puv3_rtc_driver, so that modpost will know that this is simply a list of pointers to driver functions, in which case the section mismatch is OK.
