2021-06-22iwlwifi: mvm: Read acpi dsm to get unii4 enable/disable bitmap.Abhishek Naik
Read the UNII4 setting from the ACPI table and use it in the LARI_CONFIG_CHANGE_CMD accordingly. This setting allows OEMs to enable or disable UNII4, bypassing the FW defaults. 2020-10-08iwlwifi: mvm: ring the doorbell and wait for PNVM load completionLuca Coelho
When we receive a non-zero SKU_ID in the alive notification, we need to ring the doorbell and wait for the FW to send us a PNVM load complete notification before we continue the init phase. 2020-06-10iwlwifi: Replace zero-length array with flexible-arrayGustavo A. R. Silva
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; }; By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on. Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change: "Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1] sizeof(flexible-array-member) triggers a warning because flexible array members have incomplete type[1]. There are some instances of code in which the sizeof operator is being incorrectly/erroneously applied to zero-length arrays and the result is zero. Such instances may be hiding some bugs. So, this work (flexible-array member conversions) will also help to get completely rid of those sorts of issues. This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle. 2018-10-06iwlwifi: nvm: get num of hw addresses from firmwareNaftali Goldstein
With NICs that don't read the NVM directly and instead rely on getting the relevant data from the firmware, the number of reserved MAC addresses was not added to the API. This caused the driver to assume there is only one address which results in all interfaces getting the same address. Update the API to fix this. While at it, fix-up the comments with firmware api names to actually match what we have in the firmware. 2018-03-28iwlwifi: api: Add geographic profile information to MCC_UPDATE_CMDHaim Dreyfuss
Some geographic profiles require specific handling. For example ETSI profile requires special channel access handling. Add geographic profile information to MCC_UPDATE response to allow it. Signed-off-by: Haim Dreyfuss <haim.dreyfuss@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-10-06iwlwifi: nvm: set the correct offsets to 3168 seriesChaya Rachel Ivgi
The driver currently handles two NVM formats, one for 7000 family and below, and one for 8000 family and above. The 3168 series uses something in between, so currently the driver uses incorrect offsets for it. Fix the incorrect offsets. Fixes: c4836b056d83 ("iwlwifi: Add PCI IDs for the new 3168 series") Signed-off-by: Chaya Rachel Ivgi <chaya.rachel.ivgi@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-08-01iwlwifi: mvm: support fw reading empty OTPLiad Kaufman
If the OTP is empty, the NVM_GET_INFO command returns with flags' bit(0) on. This means the FW returns the default values for working with. This is allowed, so use this returned data. Fixes: e9e1ba3dbf00 ("iwlwifi: mvm: support getting nvm data from firmware") Signed-off-by: Liad Kaufman <liad.kaufman@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-08-01iwlwifi: reorganize firmware APIJohannes Berg
Apart from DVM, all firmware uses the same base API, and there's code outside iwlmvm that needs to interact with it. Reflect this in the source better and reorganize the firmware API to a new fw/api/ directory. While at it, split the already pretty large fw-api.h file into a number of smaller files, going from almost 3k lines in there to a maximum number of lines less than 1k.
