2016-02-25ARM: EXYNOS: Move pmu specific headers under "linux/soc/samsung"Pankaj Dubey
Moving Exynos PMU specific header file into "include/linux/soc/samsung" thus updated affected files under "mach-exynos" to use new location of these header files. Commit 6ec4f8d0d91f ("ARM: EXYNOS: add generic function to calculate cpu number") introduced exynos_pmu_cpunr to be used by multi-cluster SoCs e.g. Exynos5420, but it's no more used in the codebase and hence removing this part of code. 2015-09-14ARM: EXYNOS: reset Little cores when cpu is upChanho Park
The cpu booting of exynos5422 has been still broken since we discussed it in last year[1]. This patch is inspired from Odroid XU3 code (Actually, it was from samsung exynos vendor kernel)[2]. This weird reset code was founded exynos5420 octa cores series SoCs and only required for the first boot core is the Little core (Cortex A7). Some of the exynos5420 boards and all of the exynos5422 boards will require this code. There is two ways to check the little core is the first cpu. One is checking GPG2CON[1] GPIO value and the other is checking the cluster number of the first cpu. I selected the latter because it's more easier than the former. 2015-03-27ARM: EXYNOS: add AFTR mode support for Exynos3250Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz
AFTR mode support brings reduced energy consumption and is a prerequisite for more advanced W-AFTR/LPA power saving modes. AFTR mode has been already supported on other Exynos SoCs for few years and this patch adds its support for Exynos3250 SoC. The differences in Exynos3250 SoC AFTR mode support when compared to Exynos4x12 SoCs are: - different secure firmware calls are used - different S5P_WAKEUP_MASK wakeup mask is used - S5P_WAKEUP_MASK2 wakeup mask needs to be set in addition to the standard S5P_WAKEUP_MASK one - C2_STATE BOOT mode flag needs to be set/cleared pre/post AFTR Cc: Daniel Lezcano <daniel.lezcano@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com> Acked-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com> Tested-by: Chanwoo Choi <cw00.choi@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene@kernel.org>
2015-03-27ARM: EXYNOS: fix CPU1 hotplug on Exynos3250Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz
CPU1 hotplug may hang when AFTR is used. Fix it by: - setting AUTOWAKEUP_EN bit in ARM_COREx_CONFIGURATION register in exynos_cpu_power_up() - not clearing reserved bits of ARM_COREx_CONFIGURATION register in exynos_cpu_power_down() - waiting while an undocumented register 0x0908 becomes non-zero in exynos_core_restart() - using dsb_sev() instead of IPI in exynos_boot_secondary() on Exynos3250 This patch also fixes hotplug issues during resume from S2R: $ echo mem > /sys/power/state [ 156.517266] Disabling non-boot CPUs ... 2014-10-21ARM: EXYNOS: Fix CPU idle clock down after CPU offKrzysztof Kozlowski
On Exynos4 USE_DELAYED_RESET_ASSERTION must be set in ARM_COREx_OPTION register during CPU power down. This is the proper way of powering down CPU on Exynos4. Additionally on Exynos4212 without this the CPU clock down feature won't work after powering down some CPU and the online CPUs will work at full frequency chosen by CPUfreq governor. 2014-07-23ARM: EXYNOS: Refactored code for using PMU address via DTPankaj Dubey
Under "arm/mach-exynos" many files are using PMU register offsets. Since we have added support for accessing PMU base address via DT, now we can remove PMU mapping from exynosX_iodesc. Let's convert all these access using iomapped address. This will help us in removing static mapping of PMU base address as well as help in reducing dependency over machine header files. Thus helping for migration of PMU implementation from machine to driver folder which can be reused for ARM64 based SoC. Also as we have removed static mappings from "regs-pmu.h" it does not need map.h anymore. But "platsmp.c" needed this and till now it got included indirectly. So lets move header inclusion of "mach/map.h" from "regs-pmu.h" to "platsmp.c". 2014-07-23ARM: EXYNOS: Support cluster power off on exynos5420/5800Abhilash Kesavan
Turning off a cluster when all 4 cores of the cluster are powered off saves power significantly. Powering off the A15 L2 alone gives around 100mW in savings. Add support for powering off the A15/A7 clusters on exynos5420/5800. The patch enables specific register bits which ensure that: - cluster L2 will be turned on before the first man is powered up. - last man will be turned off before the cluster L2 is turned off. - core is powered down before powering it up. Remove the exynos_cluster_power_control function completely as we can rely on the above mentioned bits rather than polling the cluster power status register. 2014-07-15ARM: EXYNOS: Remove regs-pmu.h header dependency from pm_domainPankaj Dubey
Current "pm_domain.c" file uses "S5P_INT_LOCAL_PWR_EN" definition from "regs-pmu.h" and hence needs to include this header file. As there is no other user of "S5P_INT_LOCAL_PWR_EN" definition other than pm_domain, to remove "regs-pmu.h" header file dependency from "pm_domain.c" it's better we define this definition in "pm_domain.c" file itself and thus it will help in removing header file inclusion from "pm_domain.c".
