2010-04-07Make ATA code not bother to retry requests that return IDNF (specified ↵Torne Wuff
sector not valid). There's no point retrying these requests for five seconds, the sector number isn't going to get any more valid. It interferes with being able to detect broken drives like the 5.5G 80GB iPod's. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25525 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-01-31Enable ATA DMA on pp5020 based players with ATA drives.Torne Wuff
DMA is only used for reading because writing seems to be slower with DMA. Only requests which are cacheline aligned (16 bytes) will use DMA, so many requests will still use PIO at this point; a later change will align more reads. Part of FS#9708, original DMA code by Boris Gjenero (dreamlayers). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@24405 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

2008-06-28Updated our source code header to explicitly mention that we are GPL v2 orDaniel Stenberg
later. We still need to hunt down snippets used that are not. 1324 modified files... http://www.rockbox.org/mail/archive/rockbox-dev-archive-2008-06/0060.shtml git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17847 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-08-03PP5002 ATA driver needs to wait for the controller to be ready again before ↵Jens Arnold
writing the next control register value. Makes check_registers() not fail in the bootloader. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@14153 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-08-01Add some new findings to the PP header files. * Clean up ata-target.h for ↵Jens Arnold
PP. * check_registers() seems to work fine on PP5002. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@14114 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-07-02Improved CPU clock setup for PP502x. PP5020 and PP5022 are not register ↵Jens Arnold
compatible here, so define the PP5022 targets properly, and introduce a CPU_PP502x macro for easier family check. Improves stability on PP5020 (less freezing, tested with Mini G1) and reduces clock change penalty (500us on PP5020; uses the relock bit on PP5022). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@13763 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-01-24Assembler optimised ATA transfer loops for ARM targets. Only used for ↵Jens Arnold
PP5020/5021/5022 targets atm. PP5002 seems to have problems with it not directly related to the asm code itself, and the gigabeat doesn't profit from it, probably because the CPU isn't the bottleneck even without optimisation. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@12099 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2006-12-03Completed target tree move of the ata driver code. Some code cleanup.Jens Arnold

2006-10-27cleanup ata.c a bit by moving portalplayer defines to target_tree and ↵Marcoen Hirschberg
removing unused portalplayer and gigabeat code git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@11365 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
