2020-07-24[3/4] Completely remove HWCODEC supportSolomon Peachy
'swcodec' is now always set (and recording_swcodec for recording-capable units) in feature.txt so the manual and language strings don't need to all be fixed up. Change-Id: Ib2c9d5d157af8d33653e2d4b4a12881b9aa6ddb0
2017-11-21Undo hacks to meant to get around string formatting limitationsMichael Sevakis
The new vuprintf makes unnecessary workarounds due to formatting limitations. I checked grep output for whatever appeared to fit but it's possible I missed some instances because they weren't so obvious. Also, this means sound settings can dynamically work with any number of decimals rather than the current assumption of one or two. Add an ipow() function to help and take advantage of dynamic field width and precision. Consolidate string formatting of sound settings. Change-Id: I46caf534859dfd1916cd440cd25e5206b192fcd8
2014-03-03kernel: Break out kernel primitives into separate files and move to separate ↵Thomas Martitz
dir. No code changed, just shuffling stuff around. This should make it easier to build only select parts kernel and use different implementations. Change-Id: Ie1f00f93008833ce38419d760afd70062c5e22b5
2014-01-05Do not include kernel.h in system.h.Thomas Martitz
system.h doesn't need it on its own and this change makes it less dependant on Rockbox internals. Change-Id: I4e1e4108a52a7b599627a829204eb82b392fc6d6
2011-12-25rbpaths: Add new special dir HOME_DIR for RaaA.Thomas Martitz
HOME_DIR is intended for not-so-advanced files which shall be user visible, and thus not in /.rockbox. Therefore HOME_DIR is translated to $HOME on RaaA, /sdcard on android, the internal memory on ypr0 and "/" on native targets. ROCKBOX_DIR ("/.rockbox") already existed as special and is translated to whatever the real rockbox dir is on the target (e.g. /sdcard/rockbox on android), but it's not suitable for some files we generate (e.g. battery-bench.txt). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@31430 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-09-01Ged rid of uisimulator/common/io.c for android builds.Thomas Martitz
Use host's functions for file i/o directly (open(), close() ,etc.), not the sim_* variants. Some dir functions need to be wrapped still because we need to cache the parents dir's path (host's dirent doesn't let us know). For the same reason (incompatibility) with host's dirent) detach some members from Rockbox' dirent struct and put it into an extra one, the values can be retrieved via the new dir_get_info(). Get rid of the sim_ prefix for sleep as well and change the signature to unix sleep(). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@27968 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-17Simplify mpegplayer a bit and use array-based lists rather than linked lists ↵Michael Sevakis
for stream management. Move a couple useful functions to handle pointer arrays from kernel.c into general.c; mpeglayer now makes use of them. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@26101 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2010-05-06Move c/h files implementing/defining standard library stuff into a new libc ↵Thomas Martitz
directory, also standard'ify some parts of the code base (almost entirely #include fixes). This is to a) to cleanup firmware/common and firmware/include a bit, but also b) for Rockbox as an application which should use the host system's c library and headers, separating makes it easy to exclude our files from the build. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@25850 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657

* Move strncpy() from core to the pluginlib * Introduce strlcpy() and use that instead in most places (use memcpy in a few) in core and some plugins * Drop strncpy() from the codec api as no codec used it * Bump codec and plugin api versions git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@21863 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-07-08Numbered filename creation: Make the search for pre-existing files ↵Jens Arnold
independent of the requested number length. This way it will also increment properly if the requested number length changes or overflows (more than 99 files for numberlen == 2). git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@21732 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-02-10Move screendump from apps to firmware, solving two nasty firmware-to-apps ↵Jens Arnold
calls. This required to move the filename creation functions as well. * Fix bug in the BMP header of Clip screendumps. * Add remote screendump for targets with an LCD remote. * Simplify some ifdefs and rename a macro in the sim. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19967 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2009-01-13remove align_buffer from firmare/general.c, replacing with ALIGN_BUFFER ↵Andrew Mahone
macro, and replace all uses of it (only resize.c in core, and pictureflow and mpegplayer plugins), remove it from plugin_api, and remove wrapper for it from plugin.h git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@19758 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2008-06-28Updated our source code header to explicitly mention that we are GPL v2 orDaniel Stenberg
later. We still need to hunt down snippets used that are not. 1324 modified files... http://www.rockbox.org/mail/archive/rockbox-dev-archive-2008-06/0060.shtml git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@17847 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-12-29mpegplayer: Make playback engine fully seekable and frame-accurate and split ↵Michael Sevakis
into logical parts. Be sure to have all current features work. Actual UI for seeking will be added soon. Recommended GOP size is about 15-30 frames depending on target or seeking can be slow with really long GOPs (nature of MPEG video). More refined encoding recommendations for a particular player should be posted soon. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@15977 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
2007-11-08Add some CACHEALIGN_* macros and a helper function to assist in aligning ↵Michael Sevakis
data and buffers on PortalPlayer processors to cache line boundaries. They're noops when PROC_NEED_CACHEALIGN isn't defined. Go safe and increase the value to 32 since I'm not sure yet if 16 is sufficient - changing that is a one-liner. Add helper to plugin API which will be needed shortly. git-svn-id: svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/trunk@15523 a1c6a512-1295-4272-9138-f99709370657
