From dd878c0cec75530ca3ffdb6c759f798eb91cc1df Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Maarten Lankhorst Date: Wed, 19 Aug 2020 16:08:58 +0200 Subject: drm/i915: Dirty hack to fix selftests locking inversion MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Some i915 selftests still use i915_vma_lock() as inner lock, and intel_context_create_request() intel_timeline->mutex as outer lock. Fortunately for selftests this is not an issue, they should be fixed but we can move ahead and cleanify lockdep now.
