2018-11-27netfilter: add missing error handling code for register functionsTaehee Yoo
register_{netdevice/inetaddr/inet6addr}_notifier may return an error value, this patch adds the code to handle these error paths. Signed-off-by: Taehee Yoo <ap420073@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2018-04-24netfilter: add NAT support for shifted portmap rangesThierry Du Tre
This is a patch proposal to support shifted ranges in portmaps. (i.e. tcp/udp incoming port 5000-5100 on WAN redirected to LAN 192.168.1.5:2000-2100) Currently DNAT only works for single port or identical port ranges. (i.e. ports 5000-5100 on WAN interface redirected to a LAN host while original destination port is not altered) When different port ranges are configured, either 'random' mode should be used, or else all incoming connections are mapped onto the first port in the redirect range. (in described example WAN:5000-5100 will all be mapped to 192.168.1.5:2000) This patch introduces a new mode indicated by flag NF_NAT_RANGE_PROTO_OFFSET which uses a base port value to calculate an offset with the destination port present in the incoming stream. That offset is then applied as index within the redirect port range (index modulo rangewidth to handle range overflow). In described example the base port would be 5000. An incoming stream with destination port 5004 would result in an offset value 4 which means that the NAT'ed stream will be using destination port 2004. Other possibilities include deterministic mapping of larger or multiple ranges to a smaller range : WAN:5000-5999 -> LAN:5000-5099 (maps WAN port 5*xx to port 51xx) This patch does not change any current behavior. It just adds new NAT proto range functionality which must be selected via the specific flag when intended to use. A patch for iptables (libipt_DNAT.c + libip6t_DNAT.c) will also be proposed which makes this functionality immediately available. 2017-12-11netfilter: ip6t_MASQUERADE: add dependency on conntrack moduleKonstantin Khlebnikov
After commit 4d3a57f23dec ("netfilter: conntrack: do not enable connection tracking unless needed") conntrack is disabled by default unless some module explicitly declares dependency in particular network namespace. Fixes: a357b3f80bc8 ("netfilter: nat: add dependencies on conntrack module") Signed-off-by: Konstantin Khlebnikov <khlebnikov@yandex-team.ru> Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2016-11-03netfilter: x_tables: move hook state into xt_action_param structurePablo Neira Ayuso
Place pointer to hook state in xt_action_param structure instead of copying the fields that we need. After this change xt_action_param fits into one cacheline. This patch also adds a set of new wrapper functions to fetch relevant hook state structure fields. Signed-off-by: Pablo Neira Ayuso <pablo@netfilter.org>
2014-09-09netfilter: nf_nat: generalize IPv6 masquerading support for nf_tablesArturo Borrero
Let's refactor the code so we can reach the masquerade functionality from outside the xt context (ie. nftables). The patch includes the addition of an atomic counter to the masquerade notifier: the stuff to be done by the notifier is the same for xt and nftables. Therefore, only one notification handler is needed. This factorization only involves IPv6; a similar patch exists to handle IPv4. 2013-05-28net: always pass struct netdev_notifier_info to netdevice notifiersCong Wang
commit 351638e7deeed2ec8ce451b53d3 (net: pass info struct via netdevice notifier) breaks booting of my KVM guest, this is due to we still forget to pass struct netdev_notifier_info in several places. This patch completes it. Cc: Jiri Pirko <jiri@resnulli.us> Cc: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Cong Wang <amwang@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-05-28net: pass info struct via netdevice notifierJiri Pirko
So far, only net_device * could be passed along with netdevice notifier event. This patch provides a possibility to pass custom structure able to provide info that event listener needs to know.
