2021-04-12ASOC: SOF: simplify nocodec modePierre-Louis Bossart
Replace ugly #if (!IS_ENABLED) by if (!IS_ENABLED), remove cross-module dependencies and use classic mechanism to pass information to the machine driver. 2021-03-22ASoC: SOF: add a helper to get topology configured mclkKeyon Jie
Add helper sof_dai_ssp_mclk to get the topology configured MCLK from a pcm_runtime, return 0 if it is not available, and error if the dai type is not SSP at the moment. Export the helper for external use, e.g. from machine drivers. 2020-11-20ASoC: SOF: nocodec: modify DAI link definitionsRanjani Sridharan
The ignore_machine field in the component driver is used to ignore the FE DAI links defined in the machine driver, override BE fixups and set the stream names for the DAI links defined in the machine driver. This is required to make SOF compatible with the legacy machine drivers. In the case of the nocodec machine driver in SOF, there is no need to rely upon this ignore_machine logic in the core. Modify the machine driver to set DAI link stream names and the BE hw_params_fixup callback appropriately. 2020-09-21ASoC: SOF: pm: Fix prepare callback behavior for OF usecaseDaniel Baluta
On i.MX platforms PM is not managed via ACPI although CONFIG_ACPI can be set. So, in order to correctly set the system target state we introduce a flag for platforms that require to use acpi target states. 2020-04-16ASoC: SOF: Introduce offset in firmware dataKarol Trzcinski
It makes possible to provide extra information to host before downloading firmware. Extra data should be put at the beginning of firmware binary. Exchange is done without any effort on DSP side. This mechanism will be used in extended manifest. 2019-12-18ASoC: SOF: move arch_ops under opsPierre-Louis Bossart
The current structures are not well designed. We include Xtensa information from the ACPI and PCI levels, but at the Kconfig/module level everything Xtensa related is included at the sof/intel level. Move the arch_ops under ops so that Xtensa is hidden in the DSP ops, with a structure that follows the Kconfig/module partition. 2019-12-09ASoC: SOF: Introduce default_fw_filename member in sof_dev_descRanjani Sridharan
Currently the FW filename is obtained from the ACPI matching table when determining which machine driver to use. In preparation for making the machine driver ACPI match optional for Device Tree platforms and moving the machine driver selection out of the SOF core, this patch introduces the default_fw_filename member in struct sof_dev_desc. Once the machine driver selection is moved out of SOF core, the nocodec_fw_filename will become obsolete and will be removed. 2019-10-07ASoC: SOF: support alternate list of machinesPierre-Louis Bossart
For cases where an interface can be pin-muxed, we need to assess at probe time which configuration should be used. In cases such as SoundWire, we need to maintain an alternate list of machines and walk through them when the primary detection based on ACPI _HID fails. 2019-04-28ASoC: SOF: Add Sound Open Firmware driver coreLiam Girdwood
The Sound Open Firmware driver core is a generic architecture independent layer that allows SOF to be used on many different architectures and platforms. It abstracts DSP operations and IO methods so that the target DSP can be an internal memory mapped or external SPI or I2C based device. This abstraction also allows SOF to be run on many different VMs on the same physical HW. SOF also requires some data in ASoC PCM runtime data for looking up SOF data during ASoC PCM operations.
