2013-09-21netevent/netlink.h: Remove extern from function prototypesJoe Perches
There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern in the kernel sources. Standardize on not using extern for function prototypes. Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern. extern is assumed by the compiler. Its use is as unnecessary as using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block. 2013-01-14ipv6 netevent: Remove old_neigh from netevent_redirect.YOSHIFUJI Hideaki / 吉藤英明
The only user is cxgb3 driver. old_neigh is used to check device change, but it must not happen on redirect. In this sense, we can remove old_neigh argument. Signed-off-by: YOSHIFUJI Hideaki <yoshfuji@linux-ipv6.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2011-04-24net: Remove __KERNEL__ cpp checks from include/netDavid S. Miller
These header files are never installed to user consumption, so any __KERNEL__ cpp checks are superfluous. Projects should also not copy these files into their userland utility sources and try to use them there. If they insist on doing so, the onus is on them to sanitize the headers as needed. 2011-02-08net: Kill NETEVENT_PMTU_UPDATE.David S. Miller
Nobody actually does anything in response to the event, so just kill it off. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-01-28[NET]: Remove unnecessary inclusion of dst.hHerbert Xu
The file net/netevent.h only refers to struct dst_entry * so it doesn't need to include dst.h. I've replaced it with a forward declaration. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2006-08-02[NET]: Network Event Notifier Mechanism.Tom Tucker
This patch uses notifier blocks to implement a network event notifier mechanism. Clients register their callback function by calling register_netevent_notifier() like this: static struct notifier_block nb = { .notifier_call = my_callback_func }; ... register_netevent_notifier(&nb); Signed-off-by: Tom Tucker <tom@opengridcomputing.com> Signed-off-by: Steve Wise <swise@opengridcomputing.com> Signed-off-by: David S.
