There's a subtle design flaw in the deferred log item code that can lead
to pinning the log tail. Taking up the defer ops chain examples from
the previous commit, we can get trapped in sequences like this:
Caller hands us a transaction t0 with D0-D3 attached. The defer ops
chain will look like the following if the transaction rolls succeed:
t1: D0(t0), D1(t0), D2(t0), D3(t0)
t2: d4(t1), d5(t1), D1(t0), D2(t0), D3(t0)
t3: d5(t1), D1(t0), D2(t0), D3(t0)
...
t9: d9(t7), D3(t0)
t10: D3(t0)
t11: d10(t10), d11(t10)
t12: d11(t10)
In transaction 9, we finish d9 and try to roll to t10 while holding onto
an intent item for D3 that we logged in t0.
The previous commit changed the order in which we place new defer ops in
the defer ops processing chain to reduce the maximum chain length. Now
make xfs_defer_finish_noroll capable of relogging the entire chain
periodically so that we can always move the log tail forward. Most
chains will never get relogged, except for operations that generate very
long chains (large extents containing many blocks with different sharing
levels) or are on filesystems with small logs and a lot of ongoing
metadata updates.
Callers are now required to ensure that the transaction reservation is
large enough to handle logging done items and new intent items for the
maximum possible chain length. Most callers are careful to keep the
chain lengths low, so the overhead should be minimal.
The decision to relog an intent item is made based on whether the intent
was logged in a previous checkpoint, since there's no point in relogging
an intent into the same checkpoint.

Since snprintf() returns the would-be-output size instead of the
actual output size, the succeeding calls may go beyond the given
buffer limit. Fix it by replacing with scnprintf().

There are many, many xfs header files which are included but
unneeded (or included twice) in the xfs code, so remove them.
nb: xfs_linux.h includes about 9 headers for everyone, so those
explicit includes get removed by this. I'm not sure what the
preference is, but if we wanted explicit includes everywhere,
a followup patch could remove those xfs_*.h includes from
xfs_linux.h and move them into the files that need them.
Or it could be left as-is.

Most offset macro mess is used in xfs_stats_format() only, and we can
simply get the right offsets using offsetof(), instead of several macros
to mark the offsets inside __xfsstats structure.
Replace all XFSSTAT_END_* macros by a single helper macro to get the
right offset into __xfsstats, and use this helper in xfs_stats_format()
directly.
The quota stats code, still looks a bit cleaner when using XFSSTAT_*
macros, so, this patch also defines XFSSTAT_START_XQMSTAT and
XFSSTAT_END_XQMSTAT locally to that code. This also should prevent
offset mistakes when updates are done into __xfsstats.

The addition of FIBT, RMAP and REFCOUNT changed the offsets into
__xfssats structure.
This caused xqmstat_proc_show() to display garbage data via
/proc/fs/xfs/xqmstat, once it relies on the offsets marked via macros.
Fix it.

Pull more xfs updates from Darrick Wong:
"Here's the second round of patches for XFS for 4.18. Most of the
commits are small cleanups, bug fixes, and continued strengthening of
metadata verifiers; the bulk of the diff is the conversion of the
fs/xfs/ tree to use SPDX tags.
This series has been run through a full xfstests run over the weekend
and through a quick xfstests run against this morning's master, with
no major failures reported.

Remove the verbose license text from XFS files and replace them
with SPDX tags. This does not change the license of any of the code,
merely refers to the common, up-to-date license files in LICENSES/
This change was mostly scripted. fs/xfs/Makefile and
fs/xfs/libxfs/xfs_fs.h were modified by hand, the rest were detected
and modified by the following command:

Previously, they were referenced from an unused 'static const' structure,

Embedding a switch statement in every btree stats inc/add adds a lot
of code overhead to the core btree infrastructure paths. Stats are
supposed to be small and lightweight, but the btree stats have
become big and bloated as we've added more btrees. It needs fixing
because the reflink code will just add more overhead again.
Convert the v2 btree stats to arrays instead of independent
variables, and instead use the type to index the specific btree
array via an enum. This allows us to use array based indexing
to update the stats, rather than having to derefence variables
specific to the btree type.
If we then wrap the xfsstats structure in a union and place uint32_t
array beside it, and calculate the correct btree stats array base
array index when creating a btree cursor, we can easily access
entries in the stats structure without having to switch names based
on the btree type.
We then replace with the switch statement with a simple set of stats
wrapper macros, resulting in a significant simplification of the
btree stats code, and:

Pull more xfs updates from Dave Chinner:
"This is the second part of the XFS updates for this merge cycle, and
contains the new reverse block mapping feature for XFS.
Reverse mapping allows us to track the owner of a specific block on
disk precisely. It is implemented as a set of btrees (one per
allocation group) that track the owners of allocated extents.
Effectively it is a "used space tree" that is updated when we allocate
or free extents. i.e. it is coherent with the free space btrees we
already maintain and never overlaps with them.
This reverse mapping infrastructure is the building block of several
upcoming features - reflink, copy-on-write data, dedupe, online
metadata and data scrubbing, highly accurate bad sector/data loss
reporting to users, and significantly improved reconstruction of
damaged and corrupted filesystems. There's a lot of new stuff coming
along in the next couple of cycles,a nd it all builds in the rmap
infrastructure.
As such, it's a huge chunk of new code with new on-disk format
features and internal infrastructure. It warns at mount time as an
experimental feature and that it may eat data (as we do with all new
on-disk features until they stabilise). We have not released
userspace suport for it yet - userspace support currently requires
download from Darrick's xfsprogs repo and build from source, so the
access to this feature is really developer/tester only at this point.
Initial userspace support will be released at the same time kernel
with this code in it is released.
The new rmap enabled code regresses 3 xfstests - all are ENOSPC
related corner cases, one of which Darrick posted a fix for a few
hours ago. The other two are fixed by infrastructure that is part of
the upcoming reflink patchset. This new ENOSPC infrastructure
requires a on-disk format tweak required to keep mount times in
check - we need to keep an on-disk count of allocated rmapbt blocks so
we don't have to scan the entire btrees at mount time to count them.
This is currently being tested and will be part of the fixes sent in
the next week or two so users will not be exposed to this change"

remove_proc_subtree() was added in 3.9, and can be
used to simplify our procfile creation error handling
and cleanup, removing the nested gotos. It simply
removes fs/xfs and everything created under it.

This patch is the next step toward per-fs xfs stats. The patch makes
the show and clear routines able to handle any stats structure
associated with a kobject.
Instead of a single global xfsstats structure, add kobject and a pointer
to a per-cpu struct xfsstats. Modify the macros that manipulate the stats
accordingly: XFS_STATS_INC, XFS_STATS_DEC, and XFS_STATS_ADD now access
xfsstats->xs_stats.
The sysfs functions need to get from the kobject back to the xfsstats
structure which contains it, and pass the pointer to the ->xs_stats
percpu structure into the show & clear routines.

(replicates) the global stats in sysfs. Additionally a stats_clear file
is introduced in sysfs.

Define the AGI fields for the finobt root/level and add magic
numbers. Update the btree code to add support for the new
XFS_BTNUM_FINOBT inode btree.
The finobt root block is reserved immediately following the inobt
root block in the AG. Update XFS_PREALLOC_BLOCKS() to determine the
starting AG data block based on whether finobt support is enabled.

Switch the quota code over to use the generic XFS statistics infrastructure.
While the legacy /proc/fs/xfs/xqm and /proc/fs/xfs/xqmstats interfaces are
preserved for now the statistics that still have a meaning with the current
code are now also available from /proc/fs/xfs/stats.

Use the move from Linux 2.6 to Linux 3.x as an excuse to kill the
annoying subdirectories in the XFS source code. Besides the large
amount of file rename the only changes are to the Makefile, a few
files including headers with the subdirectory prefix, and the binary
sysctl compat code that includes a header under fs/xfs/ from
kernel/.
