2009-06-17nfs41: consider minorversion in callback_xdr:process_opBenny Halevy
Note that this patch changes the nfsv4.0 behavior also when CONFIG_NFS_V4_1 is not defined where NFS4ERR_MINOR_VERS_MISMATCH will be returned if the client received a CB_COMPOUND with minorversion != 0. Previously, it would have returned NFS4ERR_OP_ILLEGAL for CB_SEQUENCE. (or if the server is broken and sent OP_CB_GETATTR or OP_CB_RECALL with minorversion!=0, they would have been processed normally. 2009-06-17nfs41: decode minorversion 1 cb_compound headerBenny Halevy
decode cb_compound header conforming to http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-nfsv4-minorversion1-26 Get rid of cb_compound_hdr_arg.callback_ident callback_ident is not used anywhere so we shouldn't waste any memory to store it. 2008-05-16nfs: replace remaining __FUNCTION__ occurrencesHarvey Harrison

2008-05-16NFSv4: Check the return value of decode_compound_hdr_arg()Trond Myklebust
If decode_compound_hdr_arg() returns a resource error, then we cannot proceed to process the callback. Return a 'GARBAGE_ARGS' rpc-level error to the caller instead. If, however, the minor version field is incorrect, then we need to propagate the resulting NFS4ERR_MINOR_VERS_MISMATCH error back as the compound status field (setting the nops field to 0). Finally, if encode_compound_hdr_res() returns an error, we need to return an RPC_SYSTEM_ERR to the caller. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>

2008-01-30NFS: Change cb_recallargs to pass "struct sockaddr *" instead of sockaddr_inChuck Lever
Change the addr field in the cb_recallargs struct to a "struct sockaddr *" to support non-IPv4 addresses. Signed-off-by: Chuck Lever <chuck.lever@oracle.com> Cc: Aurelien Charbon <aurelien.charbon@ext.bull.net> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>

2008-01-30NFS: Remove an unneeded check in decode_compound_header_arg()Chuck Lever
Clean up: The header tag length is unsigned, so checking that it is less than zero is unnecessary. Signed-off-by: Chuck Lever <chuck.lever@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2007-07-19NFSv4: debug print ntohl(status) in nfs client callback xdr codeBenny Halevy
status in nfs client callback xdr code is passed in network order. print it in host order for better readability. Signed-off-by: Benny Halevy <bhalevy@panasas.com> Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>
2007-02-12[PATCH] knfsd: SUNRPC: Provide room in svc_rqst for larger addressesChuck Lever
Expand the rq_addr field to allow it to contain larger addresses. Specifically, we replace a 'sockaddr_in' with a 'sockaddr_storage', then everywhere the 'sockaddr_in' was referenced, we use instead an accessor function (svc_addr_in) which safely casts the _storage to _in. 2005-06-22[PATCH] NFSv4: Fix an Oops in the callback code.Trond Myklebust
The changeset "trond.myklebust@fys.uio.no|ChangeSet|20050322152404|16979" (RPC: Ensure XDR iovec length is initialized correctly in call_header) causes the NFSv4 callback code to BUG() due to an incorrectly initialized scratch buffer. Signed-off-by: Trond Myklebust <Trond.Myklebust@netapp.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
