hardpps() functionality is provided through the N_PPS line
discipline now. The new function signature was added in commit
025b40ab (2011-01-12). There was no previous macro or
function hardpps(), at least since before the initial commit of
v2.6.12 in 2005. It's unlikely this code has been compiled since.

Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.
Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed:
tty_flip_buffer_push.
IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get
at all yet.
Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h
to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it
anyway.

One point is to have less places where we actually need tty pointer.
The other is that low_latency is bound to buffer processing and
buffers are now in tty_port. So it makes sense to move low_latency to
tty_port too.

After commit "TTY: move tty buffers to tty_port", the tty buffers are
not freed in some drivers. This is because tty_port_destructor is not
called whenever a tty_port is freed. This was an assumption I counted
with but was unfortunately untrue. So fix the drivers to fulfil this
assumption.
To be sure, the TTY buffers (and later some stuff) are gone along with
the tty_port, we have to call tty_port_destroy at tear-down places.
This is mostly where the structure containing a tty_port is freed.
This patch does exactly that -- put tty_port_destroy at those places.

In most of the time, the driver needs to check if the cts flow control
is enabled. But now, the driver checks the ASYNC_CTS_FLOW flag manually,
which is not a grace way. So add a new wraper function to make the code
tidy and clean.

So now for those drivers that can use neither tty_port_install nor
tty_port_register_driver but still have tty_port available before
tty_register_driver we use newly added tty_port_link_device.
The rest of the drivers that still do not provide tty_struct <->
tty_port link will have to be converted to implement
tty->ops->install.

This will let us sort out a whole pile of tty related races. The
alternative would be to keep points and refcount the termios objects.
However
1. They are tiny anyway
2. Many devices don't use the stored copies
3. We can remove a pty special case

I sent GregKH this after the pre-requisites. He dropped the pre-requesites
for good reason and unfortunately then applied this patch. Without this
reverted you get random kernel memory corruption which will make bisecting
anything between it and the properly applied patches a complete sod.

This reverts the tty layer change to use per-tty locking, because it's
not correct yet, and fixing it will require some more deep surgery.
The main revert is d29f3ef39be4 ("tty_lock: Localise the lock"), but
there are several smaller commits that built upon it, they also get

In each remaining case the tty_lock is associated with a specific tty. This
means we can now lock on a per tty basis. We do need tty_lock_pair() for
the pty case. Uglier but still a step in the right direction.

Hmm, the code was sleeping with interrupts disabled. This was not
good. Fix this by turning interrupts at an appropriate place. (The
race is protected by CLOSING flag.)
After the move, the code is identical to tty_port_close_end, so use
it!

This avoids pain with tty refcounting and touching tty_port in the
future. It allows us to remove some info->tty tests because the tty
passed down to them can never be NULL.

Do not copy whole serial_state. We only need to know whether the speed
is to be changed. Hence store the info in advance and use it later.
A simple bool is enough.
Also remove reduntant assignments and move the tests directly to the
'if'.

This is the final step to get rid of the one of the structures. A
further cleanup will follow. And I struct serial_state deserves cease
to exist after a switch to tty_port too.
While changing the lines, it removes also pointless tty->driver_data
casts.

They used to work as a storage for 'info' pointer used in ISRs. They
are not really needed. Just pass the pointer through request_irq to
the handlers.
It was set to NULL and tested in the ISRs, but we do not need the
tests as we disable all the interrupts at the same places where NULL
sets were.

tty_wakeup is safe to be called from all contexts. No need to schedule
a tasklet for that. Let's call it directly like in other drivers.
This allows us to kill another member of async_struct structure. (If
we remove the dummy uses in simserial.)

First, remove unused macro and rs_multiport_struct structure. Nobody
uses them at all.
Further, the 2 drivers (they are below) which use the rest of
structures from serialP.h (async_struct and serial_state) do not use
all the members. Remove the members:
* which are unused or
* which are only initialized and never used for something real.
Everybody should avoid the structures with a looong distance.
Finally, remove the ALPHA kludge MCR quirks. They are 1:1 copy from
8250.h. No need to redefine them here.
The 2 promised users of the structures:
arch/ia64/hp/sim/simserial.c
drivers/tty/amiserial.c

Checking if tty->index is in bounds is not needed. The tty has the
index set in the initial open. This is done in get_tty_driver. And it
can be only in interval <0,driver->num).
So remove the tests which check exactly this interval. Some are
left untouched as they check against the current backing device count.
(Leaving apart that the check is racy in most of the cases.)

All num, magic and owner are set by alloc_tty_driver. No need to
re-set them on each allocation site.
pti driver sets something different to what it passes to
alloc_tty_driver. It is not a bug, since we don't use the lines
parameter in any way. Anyway this is fixed, and now we do the right
thing.

Since commit [e58aa3d2: genirq: Run irq handlers with interrupts disabled],
We run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled
and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler
returns with interrupts enabled (see commit [b738a50a:
genirq: Warn when handler enables interrupts]).
So now this flag is a NOOP and can be removed.

The same as in "TTY: serial, remove BTM from wait_until_sent" we don't
need to take BTM in wait_until_sent of ami_serial. Exactly the same
as serial, ami_serial accesses some "info" members (xmit_fifo_size,
timeout), but their assignment on other places in the code is not
protected by BTM anyway.
So the BTM protects nothing here. This removal helps us to get rid of
tty_locked() and __big_tty_mutex_owner in the following patch. This
was suggested by Arnd.
