2019-10-01soc: qcom: smd-rpm: Create RPM interconnect proxy child deviceGeorgi Djakov
Register a platform device to handle the communication of bus bandwidth requests with the remote processor. The interconnect proxy device is part of this remote processor (RPM) hardware. Let's create a icc-smd-rpm proxy child device to represent the bus throughput functionality that is provided by the RPM. 2017-03-28soc: qcom: smd-rpm: Add msm8996 compatibilityBjorn Andersson
With the RPM driver transitioned to RPMSG we can reuse the SMD-RPM driver ontop of GLINK for 8996, without any modifications. Acked-by: Andy Gross <andy.gross@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Andersson <bjorn.andersson@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2017-03-28soc: qcom: smd: Transition client drivers from smd to rpmsgBjorn Andersson
By moving these client drivers to use RPMSG instead of the direct SMD API we can reuse them ontop of the newly added GLINK wire-protocol support found in the 820 and 835 Qualcomm platforms. As the new (RPMSG-based) and old SMD implementations are mutually exclusive we have to change all client drivers in one commit, to make sure we have a working system before and after this transition. 2016-04-19soc: qcom: smd: Make callback pass channel referenceBjorn Andersson
By passing the smd channel reference to the callback, rather than the smd device, we can open additional smd channels from sub-devices of smd devices. 2015-12-14soc: qcom: smd-rpm: Add existing platform supportAndy Gross

2015-10-31soc: qcom: smd-rpm: Correct size of outgoing messageBjorn Andersson
With the removal of VLAIS the size was incorrectly changed to only cover the headers of the packet, resulting in "empty" requests being sent to the RPM. Correct this so the entire message is transfered. The smd rpm structures are always in little endian, but this driver is not capable of being used on big endian CPUs. 2015-10-14soc: qcom: smd: Remove use of VLAISStephen Boyd
Usage of VLAIS prevents clang from compiling this file, and it also opens us to the possibility of allocating a large structure on the stack to the point that we blow past the limit of the kernel stack. Remove the VLAIS and allocate a structure on the heap with kmalloc so that we're safer and more clang friendly.
