2019-12-19scsi: qla2xxx: Remove defer flag to indicate immeadiate port lossHimanshu Madhani
During cable pull test case, if the port is disconnected for time larger than devloss timeout, driver does not mark path offline. In such case, instead of notifying SCSI-ML of loop down, driver goes into endless loop of device relogin because defer flag is set. With newer handling of device relogin in driver discovery, defer flag is now redundant. This patch removes defer flag and cleans up code handling port lost indication to SCSI-ML. 2017-01-27block: split scsi_request out of struct requestChristoph Hellwig
And require all drivers that want to support BLOCK_PC to allocate it as the first thing of their private data. To support this the legacy IDE and BSG code is switched to set cmd_size on their queues to let the block layer allocate the additional space. Don't use fc_bsg_job::request and fc_bsg_job::reply directly, but use helper variables bsg_request and bsg_reply. This will be helpful when transitioning to bsg-lib. 2016-04-15qla2xxx: Remove use of 'struct timeval'Tina Ruchandani
struct register_host_info stores a 64-bit UTC system time timestamp. This patch removes the use of 'struct timeval' to obtain that timestamp as its tv_sec value will overflow on 32-bit systems in year 2038 beyond. The patch uses ktime_get_real_seconds() which returns a 64-bit seconds value. 2015-08-26qla2xxx: Fix sparse annotationsBart Van Assche
This patch removes 21 casts between an __iomem pointer type and another data type but also introduces five new casts (see also the casts with "__force"). Although this patch does not change any functionality, IMHO the code with __force casts needs further review. 2015-08-26qla2xxx: Remove __constant_ prefixBart Van Assche
Whether htonl() or __constant_htonl() is used, if the argument is a constant the conversion happens at compile time. Hence leave out the __constant_ prefix for this and other endianness conversion functions. This improves source code readability. 2014-11-12scsi: remove abuses of scsi_populate_tagChristoph Hellwig
Unless we want to build a SPI tag message we should just check SCMD_TAGGED instead of reverse engineering a tag type through the use of scsi_populate_tag_msg. Also rename the function to spi_populate_tag_msg, make it behave like the other spi message helpers, and move it to the spi transport class.
