2017-01-17ibmvscsis: Fix sleeping in interrupt contextBryant G. Ly
Currently, dma_alloc_coherent is being called with a GFP_KERNEL flag which allows it to sleep in an interrupt context, need to change to GFP_ATOMIC. 2017-01-17ibmvscsis: Fix max transfer lengthBryant G. Ly
Current code incorrectly calculates the max transfer length, since it is assuming a 4k page table, but ppc64 all run on 64k page tables. 2017-01-10ibmvscsis: Fix srp_transfer_data fail return codeBryant G. Ly
If srp_transfer_data fails within ibmvscsis_write_pending, then the most likely scenario is that the client timed out the op and removed the TCE mapping. Thus it will loop forever retrying the op that is pretty much guaranteed to fail forever. A better return code would be EIO instead of EAGAIN. 2016-12-25ktime: Cleanup ktime_set() usageThomas Gleixner
ktime_set(S,N) was required for the timespec storage type and is still useful for situations where a Seconds and Nanoseconds part of a time value needs to be converted. For anything where the Seconds argument is 0, this is pointless and can be replaced with a simple assignment. 2016-11-08scsi: ibmvscsis: Synchronize cmds at tpg_enable_store timeMichael Cyr
This patch changes the way the IBM vSCSI server driver manages its Command/Response Queue (CRQ). We used to register the CRQ with phyp at probe time. Now we wait until tpg_enable_store. Similarly, when tpg_enable_store is called to "disable" (i.e. the stored value is 0), we unregister the queue with phyp. One consquence to this is that we have no need for the PART_UP_WAIT_ENAB state, since we can't get an Init Message from the client in our CRQ if we're waiting to be enabled, since we haven't registered the queue yet. 2016-11-08scsi: ibmvscsis: Rearrange functions for future patchesMichael Cyr
This patch reorders functions in a manner necessary for a follow-on patch. It also makes some minor styling changes (mostly removing extra spaces) and fixes some typos. There are no code changes in this patch, with one exception: due to the reordering of the functions, I needed to explicitly declare a function at the top of the file. However, this will be removed in the next patch, since the code requiring the predeclaration will be removed. Signed-off-by: Michael Cyr <mikecyr@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Bryant G. 2016-07-20ibmvscsis: Initial commit of IBM VSCSI Tgt DriverBryant G. Ly
This driver is a pick up of the old IBM VIO scsi Target Driver that was started by Nick and Fujita 2-4 years ago. http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linux.scsi/90119 The driver provides a virtual SCSI device on IBM Power Servers. This patch contains the fifth version for an initial merge of the tcm ibmvscsis driver.
