2020-12-10regulator: max14577: Add proper module aliases stringsMarek Szyprowski
Add proper modalias structures to let this driver load automatically if compiled as module, because max14577 MFD driver creates MFD cells with such compatible strings. 2020-06-25regulator: max14577-regulator: Demote kerneldoc header to standard commentLee Jones
Nothing about this comment identifies it as a kerneldoc header. It's missing all of it's function argument descriptions and the correct function header. Fixes the following W=1 warning(s): drivers/regulator/max14577-regulator.c:166: warning: Function parameter or member 'max14577' not described in 'max14577_get_regma drivers/regulator/max14577-regulator.c:166: warning: Function parameter or member 'reg_id' not described in 'max14577_get_regmap' Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20200625163614.4001403-11-lee.jones@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2019-03-13regulator: max14577: Get rid of match_init_data/match_of_node functionsAxel Lin
This driver has been converted to use regulator core's simplified DT parsing code. So the match_init_data/match_of_node functions are not necessary now, remove them. Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@ingics.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2019-01-14regulator: max14577: Remove redundant MODULE_ALIASAxel Lin
The modalias is set by the MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE, thus remove redundant MODULE_ALIAS. Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@ingics.com> Reviewed-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

2017-01-31regulator: max14577-regulator: constify regulator_ops structureBhumika Goyal
Declare regulator_ops structure as const as it is only stored in the ops field of a regulator_desc structure. This field is of type const, so regulator_ops structures having this property can be made const too. 2016-03-28regulator: Rename files for Maxim PMIC driversJavier Martinez Canillas
Most Maxim PMIC regulator drivers are for sub-devices of Multi-Function Devices with drivers under drivers/mfd. But for many of these, the same object file name was used for both the MFD and the regulator drivers. Having 2 different drivers with the same name causes a lot of confusion to Kbuild, specially if these are built as module since only one module will be installed and also exported symbols will be undefined due being overwritten by the other module during modpost. For example, it fixes the following issue when both drivers are module: $ make M=drivers/regulator/ ... CC [M] drivers/regulator//max14577.o Building modules, stage 2. MODPOST 1 modules WARNING: "maxim_charger_calc_reg_current" [drivers/regulator//max14577.ko] undefined! WARNING: "maxim_charger_currents" [drivers/regulator//max14577.ko] undefined!
