2012-09-11rt2x00: add MediaTek/RaLink Rt3352 WiSoCDaniel Golle
Support for the RT3352 WiSoC was developed for and tested with the ALL5002 devboard running OpenWrt. For now, this supports only devices with internal TXALC. Corrections were made according to the remarks of Stanislaw Gruszka and Gertjan van Wingerde, thank you guys for reviewing! Signed-off-by: Daniel Golle <dgolle@allnet.de> Signed-off-by: John W. 2012-09-07rt2x00: Unify GPIO register field namingsGertjan van Wingerde
The various rt2x00 drivers use different methods to name the different GPIO register fields indicating the GPIO pin value and the fields indicating the direction. Start using a unified naming scheme for the GPIO register fields: - <csr>_VAL<x> for fields indicating the GPIO pin value. - <csr>_DIR<x> for fields indicating the GPIO pin direction. 2012-05-08rt2x00: Add debugfs access for rfcsr registerAnisse Astier
RFCSR is only used in rt2800. For other chipsets, the debug struct for rfcsr should be zeroed, which isn't be an issue, since the code can now cope with that. 2012-04-23rt2800: add chipset revision RT5390R supportAnisse Astier
About 70% of the chips with revision RT5390R initialize incorrectly, using the auxiliary antenna instead of the main one. The net result is that signal reception is very poor (no AP further than 1M). This chipset differs from RT5390 and RT5390F by its support of hardware antenna diversity. Therefore antenna selection should be done differently, by disabling software features and previously selected antenna. This changeset does just that, and makes all RT5390R work properly. This is based on Ralink's 2012_03_22_RT5572_Linux_STA_v2.6.0.0_DPO driver. Signed-off-by: Anisse Astier <anisse@astier.eu> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

2012-03-12rt2x00: Fix beacon skew in rt2800pciHelmut Schaa
rt2800pci is suffering from beacon skew in AP mode. Some powersaving clients (like VOIP phones) are getting into trouble after some time when the beacon skew is getting too big. The ralink legacy drivers contain a function that indicates that the beacon timer is off by 1us per tbtt. And this function works around that by reducing the beacon interval for every 64th beacon transmission by 64us (the smallest possible value). Do the same in rt2800pci. This allows proper powersaving when rt2800pci is used in AP mode. Signed-off-by: Helmut Schaa <helmut.schaa@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>

2011-04-04rt2x00: Implement tx power temperature compensationHelmut Schaa
rt2800 devices should adjust their tx power in accordance with the eeproms temperature calibration values. Add a new driver callback gain_calibration that is called every 4 seconds. The rt2800 gain calibration routine simply runs the tx power configuration that takes care of calculating the temperature compensation delta. We don't need to synchronize the calls to rt2800_config_txpower as they should all happen from mac80211's single threaded workqueue. 2010-12-13rt2x00: Fix WMM Queue namingIvo van Doorn

2010-10-05rt2x00: Update comment about the AMPDU flag in the TXWIHelmut Schaa
During testing with AMPDUs it turned out that the rt2800 hw will aggregate consecutive frames with the same RA and TID when the first frame in a possible aggregate has set AMPDU=1 in the TXWI. 2010-10-05rt2x00: Improve TX status entry validationIvo van Doorn
The TX_STA_FIFO contains some information for identifying a outgoing frame, however matching by WCID and ACK status is not sufficient to 100% identify the macthing queue_entry structure (containing the SKB buffer) which belongs to the status report. Within TX_STA_FIFO we have a 4-bit field named PACKETID, which is currently used to encode the queue id. The queue ID is however limited to values from 0 to 3, which means 2 bits are sufficient to encode the value. With the remaining 2 bits we can encode a partial queue_entry index number. The value of PACKETID is not allowed to become 0, with the queue ID ranging from 0 to 3, at least one of the bits for the entry identification must be 1. That leaves us with 3 possible values we can still encode in the bits. Altough this doesn't allow 100% accurate matching of the TX_STA_FIFO queue to a queue_entry structure, it at least improves the accuracy. This allows us to better detect if we have missed the TX_STA_FIFO report, which in turn reduces the number of watchdog warnings regarding the TX status timeout.
