2021-03-01net: phy: ti: take into account all possible interrupt sourcesIoana Ciornei
The previous implementation of .handle_interrupt() did not take into account the fact that all the interrupt status registers should be acknowledged since multiple interrupt sources could be asserted. Fix this by reading all the status registers before exiting with IRQ_NONE or triggering the PHY state machine. 2020-11-25net: phy: ti: remove the use of .ack_interrupt()Ioana Ciornei
In preparation of removing the .ack_interrupt() callback, we must replace its occurrences (aka phy_clear_interrupt), from the 2 places where it is called from (phy_enable_interrupts and phy_disable_interrupts), with equivalent functionality. This means that clearing interrupts now becomes something that the PHY driver is responsible of doing, before enabling interrupts and after clearing them. Make this driver follow the new contract. 2020-11-25net: phy: ti: implement generic .handle_interrupt() callbackIoana Ciornei
In an attempt to actually support shared IRQs in phylib, we now move the responsibility of triggering the phylib state machine or just returning IRQ_NONE, based on the IRQ status register, to the PHY driver. Having 3 different IRQ handling callbacks (.handle_interrupt(), .did_interrupt() and .ack_interrupt() ) is confusing so let the PHY driver implement directly an IRQ handler like any other device driver. Make this driver follow the new convention. Cc: Dan Murphy <dmurphy@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Ioana Ciornei <ioana.ciornei@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>
2020-05-01net: phy: DP83TC811: Fix WoL in config init to be disabledDan Murphy
The WoL feature should be disabled when config_init is called and the feature should turned on or off when set_wol is called. In addition updated the calls to modify the registers to use the set_bit and clear_bit function calls. 2019-08-17net: phy: remove calls to genphy_config_initHeiner Kallweit
Supported PHY features are either auto-detected or explicitly set. In both cases calling genphy_config_init isn't needed. All that genphy_config_init does is removing features that are set as supported but can't be auto-detected. Basically it duplicates the code in genphy_read_abilities. Therefore remove such calls from all PHY drivers. v2: - remove call also from new adin PHY driver v3: - pass NULL as config_init function pointer for dp83848 Signed-off-by: Heiner Kallweit <hkallweit1@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2019-04-15net: phy: switch drivers to use dynamic feature detectionHeiner Kallweit
Recently genphy_read_abilities() has been added that dynamically detects clause 22 PHY abilities. I *think* this detection should work with all supported PHY's, at least for the ones with basic features sets, i.e. PHY_BASIC_FEATURES and PHY_GBIT_FEATURES. So let's remove setting these features explicitly and rely on phylib feature detection. I don't have access to most of these PHY's, therefore I'd appreciate regression testing. v2: - make the feature constant a comment so that readers know which features are supported by the respective PHY Signed-off-by: Heiner Kallweit <hkallweit1@gmail.com> Tested-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. 2018-11-11net: phy: remove flag PHY_HAS_INTERRUPT from driver configsHeiner Kallweit
Now that flag PHY_HAS_INTERRUPT has been replaced with a check for callbacks config_intr and ack_interrupt, we can remove setting this flag from all driver configs. Last but not least remove flag PHY_HAS_INTERRUPT completely. Signed-off-by: Heiner Kallweit <hkallweit1@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. 2018-05-11net: phy: DP83TC811: Introduce support for the DP83TC811 phyDan Murphy
Add support for the DP83811 phy. The DP83811 supports both rgmii and sgmii interfaces. There are 2 part numbers for this the DP83TC811R does not reliably support the SGMII interface but the DP83TC811S will. There is not a way to differentiate these parts from the hardware or register set. So this is controlled via the DT to indicate which phy mode is required. Or the part can be strapped to a certain interface.
