2020-05-07net: hisilicon: Make CONFIG_HNS invisibleGeert Uytterhoeven
The HNS config symbol enables the framework support for the Hisilicon Network Subsystem. It is already selected by all of its users, so there is no reason to make it visible. Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert+renesas@glider.be> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-07-09net: hisilicon: Add support for HI13X1 to hip04_ethJiangfeng Xiao
Extend the hip04_eth driver to support HI13X1_GMAC. Enable it with CONFIG_HI13X1_GMAC option. Signed-off-by: Jiangfeng Xiao <xiaojiangfeng@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2018-12-14hns3: prevent building without CONFIG_INETArnd Bergmann
We now get a link failure when CONFIG_INET is disabled, since tcp_gro_complete is unavailable: drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hns3/hns3_enet.o: In function `hns3_set_gro_param': hns3_enet.c:(.text+0x230c): undefined reference to `tcp_gro_complete' Add an explicit CONFIG_INET dependency here to avoid the broken configuration. 2018-07-02net: hns3: give default option while dependency HNS3 setHuazhong Tan
Give default option for HNS3_HCLGE and HNS3_ENET will be helpful, while dependency HNS3 is set. Meanwhile, use "if HNS3" section instead of all the "depends on HNS3". 2018-06-23net: Remove depends on HAS_DMA in case of platform dependencyGeert Uytterhoeven
Remove dependencies on HAS_DMA where a Kconfig symbol depends on another symbol that implies HAS_DMA, and, optionally, on "|| COMPILE_TEST". In most cases this other symbol is an architecture or platform specific symbol, or PCI. Generic symbols and drivers without platform dependencies keep their dependencies on HAS_DMA, to prevent compiling subsystems or drivers that cannot work anyway. This simplifies the dependencies, and allows to improve compile-testing. 2015-10-18net: hisilicon: add OF dependencyArnd Bergmann
The HNS MDIO driver fails to build on older ARM machines that are not yet converted to CONFIG_OF: drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hns_mdio.c: In function 'hns_mdio_bus_name': drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hns_mdio.c:405:14: error: 'OF_BAD_ADDR' undeclared (first use in this function) u64 taddr = OF_BAD_ADDR; ^ drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hns_mdio.c:405:14: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in drivers/net/ethernet/hisilicon/hns_mdio.c:409:11: error: implicit declaration of function 'of_translate_address' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] taddr = of_translate_address(np, addr); ^ This clarifies the dependency to ensure we don't attempt to build these drivers without CONFIG_OF, but also adds a COMPILE_TEST alternative to give us better build coverage testing. 2015-10-12net: HNS: fix MDIO dependenciesArnd Bergmann
The newly introduced HNS_MDIO Kconfig symbol selects 'MDIO', but that is the wrong symbol as the code used by this driver is provided by PHYLIB rather than the MDIO driver. Also, there is no need to make this driver user selectable, because it is already selected by all drivers that need it. This changes the Kconfig file to select the correct library, and to make the option silent. 2015-09-20net: add Hisilicon Network Subsystem basic ethernet supporthuangdaode
This is to add basic ethernet support for HNS. It is one of the way to use the HNS acceleration engine. But most of the decoding/encoding capability of the AE cannot be used in this way. 2015-06-23drivers/net: remove all references to obsolete Ethernet-HOWTOPaul Gortmaker
This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is no value in anyone else taking over updating it either. However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread. No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
