Rx hash/filter table configuration uses rss_conf_obj to configure filters
in the hardware. This object is initialized only when the interface is
brought up.
This patch adds driver changes to configure rss params only when the device
is in opened state. In port disabled case, the config will be cached in the
driver structure which will be applied in the successive load path.
Please consider applying it to 'net' branch.

Code includes wmb() followed by writel(). writel() already has a
barrier on some architectures like arm64.
This ends up CPU observing two barriers back to back before executing
the register write.
Since code already has an explicit barrier call, changing writel() to
writel_relaxed().

barrier() doesn't guarantee memory writes to be observed by the hardware on
all architectures. barrier() only tells compiler not to move this code
with respect to other read/writes.
If memory write needs to be observed by the HW, wmb() is the right choice.

gcc notices that large queue numbers would overflow the queue name
string:
drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/bnx2x/bnx2x_ethtool.c: In function 'bnx2x_get_strings':
drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/bnx2x/bnx2x_ethtool.c:3165:25: error: '%d' directive writing between 1 and 10 bytes into a region of size 5 [-Werror=format-overflow=]
drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/bnx2x/bnx2x_ethtool.c:3165:25: note: directive argument in the range [0, 2147483647]
drivers/net/ethernet/broadcom/bnx2x/bnx2x_ethtool.c:3165:5: note: 'sprintf' output between 2 and 11 bytes into a destination of size 5
There is a hard limit in place that makes the number at most two
digits, so the code is fine. This changes it to use snprintf()
to truncate instead of overflowing, which shuts up that warning.

Until interface is up [and assuming ringparams weren't explicitly
configured] when queried for the size of its rings bnx2x would
claim they're the maximal size by default.
That is incorrect as by default the maximal number of buffers would
be equally divided between the various rx rings.
This prevents the user from actually setting the number of elements
on each rx ring to be of maximal size prior to transitioning the
interface into up state.
To fix this, make a rough estimation about the number of buffers.
It wouldn't always be accurate, but it would be much better than
current estimation and would allow users to increase number of
buffers during early initialization of the interface.

There are several scenarios where taking a register dump from a device
might log benign GRC timeout attentions to system logs.
Most common of those is when taking the dump from a 2-port device.
Sadly, there's no easy way to mask the problematic attentions during the
flow - Changing this behvaior would require a firmware update.
For now, simply warn users to ignore the warnings.

The 'flags' field in bnx2x_stats_arr[] serves only one purpose - to tell
us if the statistic is a per-port stat and thus should not be shown for
virtual functions. It's strange that the field can have three different
values. A boolean will do just fine.
Also remove IS_FUNC_STAT(). It was used only once and it's in fact just
a negation of IS_PORT_STAT().

Today, port statistics are being presented when using `ethool -S' only
for single-function devices, but there are some port statistics which are
crucial for analyzing bottle-necks. E.g., HW Rx discards due to lack of
buffer space [when device isn't handling ingress traffic fast enough].
Judging the pros and cons, it was decided that in-order to better support
automatic dump-gathering tools, bnx2x should no longer hide those stats.
This leaves only VFs lacking the port statistics.

Writing each 4Kb page into flash might take up-to ~100 miliseconds,
during which time management firmware cannot acces the nvram for its
own uses.
Firmware upgrade utility use the ethtool API to burn new flash images
for the device via the ethtool API, doing so by writing several page-worth
of data on each command. Such action might create problems for the
management firmware, as the nvram might not be accessible for a long time.
This patch changes the write implementation, releasing the nvram lock on
the completion of each page, allowing the management firmware time to
claim it and perform its own required actions.

Since driver statistics flow access MACs and those might reset during
link re-configurations, when we're about to change link properties we
have to make sure that statistics are not operational.
Statisics would be re-enabled [i.e., gathering of statistics would
re-commence] once physical link is achieved again.
Since driver employs a link-flap avoidance scheme, there are scenarios
where driver will receive no indication that the new link is up, and
as a result the statistics would not be re-enabled.
Preventing LFA from working in such cases would guarantee that we'll
always receive such indications and thus will fix statistics gathering.

On some feature changes, driver employes an inner-reload flow where it
resets the function and re-configures it with the new required set of
parameters.
Such a flow proves fatal to any VF since those were not intended to be used
while HW is being reset underneath, causing them [at best] to lose all
connectivity.
This changes driver behavior to fail all configuration changes [e.g., mtu
change] requested of the driver in case VFs are active.

This patch extends the set/get_rxfh ethtool-options for getting or
setting the RSS hash function.
It modifies drivers implementation of set/get_rxfh accordingly.
This change also delegates the responsibility of checking whether a
modification to a certain RX flow hash parameter is supported to the
driver implementation of set_rxfh.
User-kernel API is done through the new hfunc bitmask field in the
ethtool_rxfh struct. A bit set in the hfunc field is corresponding to an
index in the new string-set ETH_SS_RSS_HASH_FUNCS.
Got approval from most of the relevant driver maintainers that their
driver is using Toeplitz, and for the few that didn't answered, also
assumed it is Toeplitz.

This addresses several problems I previously identified with the new

1. Missing validation of reserved parameters
2. Vague documentation
3. Use of unnamed magic number
4. No consolidation with existing driver operations
I don't currently have access to suitable network hardware, but have

There's a known issue that using `ethtool -e' flips the endianity of the
written data, i.e., using `ethtool -E' to dump eeprom image and than using
`ethtool -e' to re-write that same image will result in an image where
the data has the opposite endianity.
Sadly, this cannot be fixed as there are already various tools deployed
based on the endianity of the eeprom read/write.
Instead, a comment is added to the code to help explain why this is un-fixable.

As part of a register dump, the interface pretends to have the identity
of other interfaces of the same physical device in order to perform
HW configuration for them - specifically, it needs to prevent attentions
from generating on those functions as the register dump accesses registers
in common blocks which whose reading might generate an attention.
However, such pretension is unsafe - unlike other flows in which the driver
uses pretend, during register dump there is no guarantee no other HW access
will take place (by other flows). If such access will take place, the HW will
be accessed by the wrong interface, and leave both functions in an incorrect
state.
This patch removes all pretensions from the register dump flow. Instead, it
changes initial configuration of attentions such that no fatal attention will
be generated for other functions as a result of the register dump
(notice however, a debug print claiming an attention from other functions IS
possible during the register dump)

There is no need to initialize the dump data with zeros.
data is allocated with vzalloc, so it's already zero-filled.
