2016-01-04leds: mc13783: Remove work queueAndrew Lunn
Now the core implements the work queue, remove it from the drivers, and switch to using brightness_set_blocking op. Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: Jacek Anaszewski <j.anaszewski@samsung.com>
2015-01-14leds: leds-mc13783: Use of_get_child_by_name() instead of refcount hackGeert Uytterhoeven
of_find_node_by_name() calls of_node_put() on its "from" parameter. To counter this, mc13xxx_led_probe_dt() calls of_node_get() first. Use of_get_child_by_name() instead to get rid of the refcount hack. 2014-10-20leds: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-02-27drivers/leds: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2014-02-27leds: leds-mc13783: Add devicetree supportAlexander Shiyan
This patch adds devicetree support for the MC13XXX LED driver. (cooloney@gmail.com: remove unneeded semicolon) Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>
2014-02-27leds: leds-mc13783: Remove unnecessary cleaning of registers on exitAlexander Shiyan
LED core switches each LED to OFF-state on exit, so there is no need for resetting registers. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>
2014-02-27leds: leds-mc13783: Use proper "max_brightness" value fo LEDsAlexander Shiyan
Instead of using maximum value of 255 and shift it to appropriate LED duty cycle, this patch introduce a helper to use proper maximum value for each LED. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>
2014-02-27leds: leds-mc13783: Use LED core PM functionsAlexander Shiyan

2014-02-27leds: leds-mc13783: Add MC34708 LED supportAlexander Shiyan
This patch adds support for two LEDs on MC34708 PMIC. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>
2014-01-27leds: leds-mc13783: Remove unneeded mc13xxx_{un}lockAlexander Shiyan
LED registers are used only in this driver, so no additional locking is needed. Read-Modify-Write cycle in workqueue is already protected by regmap. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>
2014-01-27leds: leds-mc13783: Remove duplicate field in platform dataAlexander Shiyan
LED platform data are overwhelmed by excessive field "max_cur" which just replicates few bits of "led_control" field. This patch removes this field and adds a definition for the current settings in the header. Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>

2013-06-20leds: leds-mc13783: remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <cooloney@gmail.com>

2012-07-24leds-mc13783: set platform data to NULL at mc13783_led_removeDevendra Naga
the platform_set_drvdata (pdev, NULL) to be set at the remove of the driver, as we have set the platform data to led at probe. Signed-off-by: Devendra Naga <devendra.aaru@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@canonical.com>
2012-05-29leds: Use kcalloc instead of kzalloc to allocate arrayThomas Meyer
The advantage of kcalloc is that will prevent integer overflows which could result from the multiplication of number of elements and size and it is also a bit nicer to read. The semantic patch that makes this change is available in https://lkml.org/lkml/2011/11/25/107 Signed-off-by: Thomas Meyer <thomas@m3y3r.de> Cc: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2012-01-10drivers/leds/leds-mc13783.c: fix off-by-one for checking num_ledsAxel Lin

2011-05-26mfd: Use mfd cell platform_data for mc13xxx cells platform bitsSamuel Ortiz
With the addition of a platform device mfd_cell pointer, MFD drivers can go back to passing platform data back to their sub drivers. This allows for an mfd_cell->mfd_data removal and thus keep the sub drivers MFD agnostic. This is mostly needed for non MFD aware sub drivers. 2011-03-23mfd: mfd_cell is now implicitly available to mc13xxx driversAndres Salomon
The cell's platform_data is now accessed with a helper function; change clients to use that, and remove the now-unused data_size. Note that mfd-core no longer makes a copy of platform_data, but the mc13xxx-core driver creates the pdata structures on the stack. In order to get around that, the various ARM mach types that set the pdata have been changed to hold the variable in static (global) memory. Also note that __initdata references in aforementioned pdata structs have been dropped. Signed-off-by: Andres Salomon <dilinger@queued.net> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
