2009-11-05net: pass kern to net_proto_family create functionEric Paris
The generic __sock_create function has a kern argument which allows the security system to make decisions based on if a socket is being created by the kernel or by userspace. This patch passes that flag to the net_proto_family specific create function, so it can do the same thing. 2009-10-29gigaset: convert strcmp chain to table lookupTilman Schmidt

2009-10-29usb_gigaset: code cleanupTilman Schmidt
Reorganize the code of the Gigaset M10x driver to make it more readable, less redundant, better aligned to the style of other parts of the driver, and cause fewer checkpatch.pl complaints. Impact: code reorganization, no functional change Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-10-29gigaset: fix bad assumptions about CAPI skbuffsTilman Schmidt
The CAPI interface incorrectly assumed that CAPI messages would always start at the beginning of the data buffer: fix by treating DATA_B3 messages as the link layer header to their payload data. This fix changes the way acknowledgement information is propagated through the hardware specific modules and thereby impacts the ISDN4Linux variant of the driver, too. Also some assumptions about methods not being called from interrupt context turned out to be unwarranted; fix by using dev_kfree_skb_any() wherever non-interrupt context isn't guaranteed. Impact: bugfix Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-10-29gigaset: fix format string typo in CAPI dial commandTilman Schmidt
A missing dot lead to garbage characters being included in the dial command generated from a CAPI CONNECT_REQ message, which interestingly enough worked anyway, illustrating the resilience of the device. Impact: bugfix Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-10-29gigaset: CAPI module readability improvementsTilman Schmidt
Replace the "ignoring Additional Info" warning message by better readable ones citing the specific subparameters being ignored. Make parts of the code more readable by using a local cmsg pointer variable. Impact: readability improvement Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. 2009-10-22isdn: fix possible circular locking dependencyXiaotian Feng

2009-10-06gigaset: allow building without I4LTilman Schmidt

2009-10-06gigaset: prepare for CAPI implementationTilman Schmidt
Reorganize the code of the Gigaset driver, moving all isdn4linux dependencies to the source file i4l.c so that it can be replaced by a file capi.c interfacing to Kernel CAPI instead. 2009-10-06gigaset: fix device ERROR response handlingTilman Schmidt
Clear out pending command that got rejected with 'ERROR' response. 2009-10-06gigaset: linearize skbTilman Schmidt
The code of the Gigaset driver assumes that sk_buff-s coming from the ISDN4Linux subsystem are always linear. Explicitly calling skb_linearize() is cheap if they are, but much more robust in case they ever aren't. Impact: robustness improvement Signed-off-by: Tilman Schmidt <tilman@imap.cc> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-10-06gigaset: fix reject/hangup handlingTilman Schmidt

2009-10-06isdn: make capidrv module parameter "debugmode" writeableTilman Schmidt

2009-10-06isdn: avoid races in capidrvTilman Schmidt
In several places, capidrv sends a CAPI message to the ISDN device and then updates its internal state accordingly. If the response message from the device arrives before the state is updated, it may be rejected or processed incorrectly. Avoid these races by updating the state before emitting the message. 2009-10-06isdn: accept CAPI Informational Info values as successTilman Schmidt
Info values in the 0x00xx range are defined in the CAPI standard as "Informational, message processed successfully". Therefore a CONNECT_B3_CONF message with an Info value in that range should open an NCCI just as with Info==0.
