git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dtor/input * 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dtor/input: (40 commits) Input: use full RCU API Input: remove tsdev interface Input: add support for Blackfin BF54x Keypad controller Input: appletouch - another fix for idle reset logic HWMON: hdaps - switch to using input-polldev Input: add support for SEGA Dreamcast keyboard Input: omap-keyboard - don't pretend we support changing keymap Input: lifebook - fix X and Y axis range Input: usbtouchscreen - add support for GeneralTouch devices Input: fix open count handling in input interfaces Input: keyboard - add CapsShift lock Input: adbhid - produce all CapsLock key events Input: ALPS - add signature for ThinkPad R61 Input: jornada720_kbd - send MSC_SCAN events Input: add support for the HP Jornada 7xx (710/720/728) touchscreen Input: add support for HP Jornada 7xx onboard keyboard Input: add support for HP Jornada onboard keyboard (HP6XX) Input: ucb1400_ts - use schedule_timeout_uninterruptible Input: xpad - fix dependancy on LEDS class Input: auto-select INPUT for MAC_EMUMOUSEBTN option ... Resolved conflicts manually in drivers/hwmon/applesmc.c: converting from a class device to a device and converting to use input-polldev created a few apparently trivial clashes..

2007-10-09hwmon: Convert from class_device to deviceTony Jones
Convert from class_device to device for hwmon_device_register/unregister Signed-off-by: Tony Jones <tonyj@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Kay Sievers <kay.sievers@vrfy.org> Signed-off-by: Mark M. Hoffman <mhoffman@lightlink.com>
2007-10-09drivers/firmware: const-ify DMI API and internalsJeff Garzik
Three main sets of changes: 1) dmi_get_system_info() return value should have been marked const, since callers should not be changing that data. 2) const-ify DMI internals, since DMI firmware tables should, whenever possible, be marked const to ensure we never ever write to that data area. 3) const-ify DMI API, to enable marking tables const where possible in low-level drivers. And if we're really lucky, this might enable some additional optimizations on the part of the compiler. The bulk of the changes are #2 and #3, which are interrelated. #1 could have been a separate patch, but it was so small compared to the others, it was easier to roll it into this changeset. 2007-09-26HWMON: applesmc - convert to use input-polldevDmitry Torokhov
Switch to using input-polldev skeleton instead of implementing polling loop by itself. This also fixes problem with trylock on a mutex in atomic context. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@mail.ru>
2007-07-30hwmon: (applesmc) add temperature sensors set for MacbookMartin Szulecki

2007-05-27hwmon/applesmc: Handle name file creation error and deletionNicolas Boichat
The previous patch was incomplete. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Boichat <nicolas@boichat.ch> Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
2007-05-23applesmc - sensors patch missing from 2.6.22-rc2Nicolas Boichat
Add name file needed by lm_sensors user-space applications in applesmc sysfs tree. Cc: Soeren Sonnenburg <kernel@nn7.de> Cc: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-05-10drivers/hwmon: switch to using input_dev->dev.parentDmitry Torokhov
In preparation for struct class_device -> struct device input core conversion, switch to using input_dev->dev.parent when specifying device position in sysfs tree. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@mail.ru> Acked-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-05-08applesmc: Use standard sysfs names for labelsJean Delvare
We have a standard suffix to associate a designation string to a sensor: _label. Use it instead of _position so that libsensors will catch it. (This isn't implemented yet, but should be soon.) 2007-05-08applesmc: Use the address as platform device IDJean Delvare
Let the applesmc device export its address to userspace. libsensors needs this to recognize the device and give it a unique ID. 2007-05-08Apple SMC driver (hardware monitoring and control)Nicolas Boichat
This driver provides support for the Apple System Management Controller, which provides an accelerometer (Apple Sudden Motion Sensor), light sensors, temperature sensors, keyboard backlight control and fan control. Only Intel-based Apple's computers are supported (MacBook Pro, MacBook, MacMini).
