2018-09-04gpio: tps65xxx: Use SPDX license tagLinus Walleij
I'm tired of boilerplate, use the SPDX tag. Acked-by: Andrew F. Davis <afd@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Keerthy <j-keerthy@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2018-09-04gpio: tpx65xxx: Include the right headerLinus Walleij
These are drivers so include only <linux/gpio/driver.h>. Acked-by: Andrew F. Davis <afd@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Keerthy <j-keerthy@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2016-06-07gpio: remove redundant owner assignments of driversMasahiro Yamada
A platform_driver need not set an owner since it will be populated by platform_driver_register(). Likewise for mcb_driver (gpio-menz127.c). 2016-04-05gpio: tps65910: make explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is: drivers/gpio/Kconfig:config GPIO_TPS65910 drivers/gpio/Kconfig: bool "TPS65910 GPIO" ...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only. Since module_init was not in use by this code, the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. 2016-02-23gpio: tps65910: Use devm_gpiochip_add_data() for gpio registrationLaxman Dewangan
Use devm_gpiochip_add_data() for GPIO registration and remove the need of driver callback .remove. Signed-off-by: Laxman Dewangan <ldewangan@nvidia.com>
2016-01-05gpio: tps65910: use gpiochip data pointerLinus Walleij
This makes the driver use the data pointer added to the gpio_chip to store a pointer to the state container instead of relying on container_of(). Acked-By: Rhyland Klein <rklein@nvidia.com> Acked-by: Laxman Dewangan <ldewangan@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2015-11-19gpio: change member .dev to .parentLinus Walleij
The name .dev in a struct is normally reserved for a struct device that is let us say a superclass to the thing described by the struct. struct gpio_chip stands out by confusingly using a struct device *dev to point to the parent device (such as a platform_device) that represents the hardware. As we want to give gpio_chip:s real devices, this is not working. We need to rename this member to parent. This was done by two coccinelle scripts, I guess it is possible to combine them into one, but I don't know such stuff. They look like this: @@ struct gpio_chip *var; @@ -var->dev +var->parent and: @@ struct gpio_chip var; @@ -var.dev +var.parent and: @@ struct bgpio_chip *var; @@ -var->gc.dev +var->gc.parent Plus a few instances of bgpio that I couldn't figure out how to teach Coccinelle to rewrite. This patch hits all over the place, but I *strongly* prefer this solution to any piecemal approaches that just exercise patch mechanics all over the place. It mainly hits drivers/gpio and drivers/pinctrl which is my own backyard anyway. 2013-12-04gpio/pinctrl: make gpio_chip members typed booleanLinus Walleij
This switches the two members of struct gpio_chip that were defined as unsigned foo:1 to bool, because that is indeed what they are. Switch all users in the gpio and pinctrl subsystems to assign these values with true/false instead of 0/1. The users outside these subsystems will survive since true/false is 1/0, atleast we set some kind of more strict typing example. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

2012-07-10gpio/gpio-tps65910: gpio_chip.of_node referenced without CONFIG_OF_GPIO definedJerry Snitselaar
commit 626f9914 added code to initialize gpio_chip.of_node, but if CONFIG_OF_GPIO is not defined gps-tps65910 fails to build with an error complaining gpio_chip has no member of_node. 2012-05-20mfd: Commonize tps65910 regmap access through headerRhyland Klein
This change removes the read/write callback functions in favor of common regmap accessors inside the header file. This change also makes use of regmap_read/write for single register access which maps better onto what this driver actually needs. 2012-02-05gpio: tps65910: Add sleep control supportLaxman Dewangan
The device tps65910/tps65911 supports the sleep functionality in some of gpios. If gpio is configured in output mode and sleep is enabled then during device sleep state, the output of gpio becomes LOW regardless of non-sleep output value. Such gpio can be used to control regulator switch such that output of regulator is off in device sleep state.
