2020-04-14EDAC: Drop the EDAC report status checksTony Luck
When acpi_extlog was added, we were worried that the same error would be reported more than once by different subsystems. But in the ensuing years I've seen complaints that people could not find an error log (because this mechanism suppressed the log they were looking for). Rip it all out. People are smart enough to notice the same address from different reporting mechanisms. 2020-04-14x86/mce: Fix all mce notifiers to update the mce->kflags bitmaskTony Luck
If the handler took any action to log or deal with the error, set a bit in mce->kflags so that the default handler on the end of the machine check chain can see what has been done. Get rid of NOTIFY_STOP returns. Make the EDAC and dev-mcelog handlers skip over errors already processed by CEC. 2019-11-09EDAC: Replace EDAC_DIMM_PTR() macro with edac_get_dimm() functionRobert Richter
The EDAC_DIMM_PTR() macro takes 3 arguments from struct mem_ctl_info. Clean up this interface to only pass the mci struct and replace this macro with a new function edac_get_dimm(). Also introduce an edac_get_dimm_by_index() function for later use. This allows it to get a DIMM pointer only by a given index. This can be useful if the DIMM's position within the layers of the memory controller or the exact size of the layers are unknown. Small style changes made for some hunks after applying the semantic patch. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip Pull x86 cpu-feature updates from Ingo Molnar: - Rework the Intel model names symbols/macros, which were decades of ad-hoc extensions and added random noise. It's now a coherent, easy to follow nomenclature. - Add new Intel CPU model IDs: - "Tiger Lake" desktop and mobile models - "Elkhart Lake" model ID - and the "Lightning Mountain" variant of Airmont, plus support code - Add the new AVX512_VP2INTERSECT instruction to cpufeatures - Remove Intel MPX user-visible APIs and the self-tests, because the toolchain (gcc) is not supporting it going forward. This is the first, lowest-risk phase of MPX removal. - Remove X86_FEATURE_MFENCE_RDTSC - Various smaller cleanups and fixes * 'x86-cpu-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip: (25 commits) x86/cpu: Update init data for new Airmont CPU model x86/cpu: Add new Airmont variant to Intel family x86/cpu: Add Elkhart Lake to Intel family x86/cpu: Add Tiger Lake to Intel family x86: Correct misc typos x86/intel: Add common OPTDIFFs x86/intel: Aggregate microserver naming x86/intel: Aggregate big core graphics naming x86/intel: Aggregate big core mobile naming x86/intel: Aggregate big core client naming x86/cpufeature: Explain the macro duplication x86/ftrace: Remove mcount() declaration x86/PCI: Remove superfluous returns from void functions x86/msr-index: Move AMD MSRs where they belong x86/cpu: Use constant definitions for CPU models lib: Remove redundant ftrace flag removal x86/crash: Remove unnecessary comparison x86/bitops: Use __builtin_constant_p() directly instead of IS_IMMEDIATE() x86: Remove X86_FEATURE_MFENCE_RDTSC x86/mpx: Remove MPX APIs ...

2019-08-09EDAC, pnd2: Fix ioremap() size in dnv_rd_reg()Stephen Douthit
Depending on how BIOS has marked the reserved region containing the 32KB MCHBAR you can get warnings like: resource sanity check: requesting [mem 0xfed10000-0xfed1ffff], which spans more than reserved [mem 0xfed10000-0xfed17fff] caller dnv_rd_reg+0xc8/0x240 [pnd2_edac] mapping multiple BARs Not all of the mmio regions used in dnv_rd_reg() are the same size. 2017-09-25EDAC: Add owner check to the x86 platform driversToshi Kani
Change x86 EDAC platform drivers to verify the module owner at the beginning of their module init functions. This allows them to fail their init immediately when ghes_edac is enabled. Similar change can be made to other edac drivers if necessary. Also, remove ".c" from module names of pnp2_edac, sb_edac, and skx_edac. 2017-08-19EDAC, pnd2: Conditionally unhide/hide the P2SB PCI device to read BARQiuxu Zhuo
On Deverton server, the P2SB PCI device (DEV:1F, FUN:1) is used by multiple device drivers. If it's hidden by some device driver (e.g. with the i801 I2C driver, the commit 9424693035a5 ("i2c: i801: Create iTCO device on newer Intel PCHs") unconditionally hid the P2SB PCI device wrongly) it will make the pnd2_edac driver read out an invalid BAR value of 0xffffffff and then fail on ioremap(). Therefore, store the presence state of P2SB PCI device before unhiding it for reading BAR and restore the presence state after reading BAR. Initial target for this driver is the Intel Apollo Lake platform and Denverton micro-server, they use the same internal memory controller IP called Pondicherry2. Memory controller registers are not in PCI config space like earlier Intel memory controllers. For Apollo Lake platform they are accessed via a "side-band" interface, for Denverton micro-server they are access via PCI config space and memory map I/O. This driver is for Apollo Lake and Denverton, but only the Denverton is fully enabled while we wait for the sideband driver. Apollo lake driver and initial cut at Denverton driver by Tony Luck.
