2016-09-13powerpc/sparse: Make a bunch of things staticDaniel Axtens
Squash a bunch of sparse warnings by making things static. Reviewed-by: Andrew Donnellan <andrew.donnellan@au1.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Axtens <dja@axtens.net> Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
2011-06-10treewide: Convert uses of struct resource to resource_size(ptr)Joe Perches
Several fixes as well where the +1 was missing. Done via coccinelle scripts like: @@ struct resource *ptr; @@ - ptr->end - ptr->start + 1 + resource_size(ptr) and some grep and typing. Mostly uncompiled, no cross-compilers. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
2011-04-20powerpc/nvram: Search for nvram using compatibleBenjamin Herrenschmidt
As well as searching for nodes with type = "nvram", search for nodes that have compatible = "nvram". This can't be converted into a single call to of_find_compatible_node() with a non-NULL type, because that searches for a node that has _both_ type & compatible = "nvram". 2009-08-20powerpc/nvram: Allow byte length reads from mmio NVRAM driverMartyn Welch
Add a byte length read and write interface compatible with the nvram_generic driver interface to the mmio driver. Signed-off-by: Martyn Welch <martyn.welch@gefanuc.com> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>

2007-01-22[POWERPC] Fix cell's mmio nvram to properly parse device treeBenjamin Herrenschmidt
The mmio nvram driver (used by cell only atm) isn't properly parsing the device-tree, meaning that nvram isn't found correctly on the new Cell blades. It works ok for old blades where the nvram is at the root of the device tree but fails on Malta and CAB when it's hanging off axon. This fixes it by using the proper OF parsing functions. 2006-07-31[POWERPC] Constify & voidify get_property()Jeremy Kerr
Now that get_property() returns a void *, there's no need to cast its return value. Also, treat the return value as const, so we can constify get_property later. powerpc core changes. Signed-off-by: Jeremy Kerr <jk@ozlabs.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2006-06-27[PATCH] spin/rwlock init cleanupsIngo Molnar
locking init cleanups: - convert " = SPIN_LOCK_UNLOCKED" to spin_lock_init() or DEFINE_SPINLOCK() - convert rwlocks in a similar manner this patch was generated automatically. Motivation: - cleanliness - lockdep needs control of lock initialization, which the open-coded variants do not give - it's also useful for -rt and for lock debugging in general Signed-off-by: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-11-01[PATCH] powerpc: move mmio_nvram.c over to arch/powerpcArnd Bergmann
The nvram code formally known as bpa_nvram.c is rather generic really, so it is quite likely to be useful to future boards not based on cell. This patch puts it into arch/powerpc/sysdev. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arndb@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
