2013-08-05mtd: atmel_nand: replace cpu_is_at32ap7000() with a nand platform dataJosh Wu
The nand driver use cpu_is_at32ap7000() macro for a workaround. For the multi-platform support, we will remove this cpu_is_xxx() macro. 2013-05-04Merge tag 'drivers-for-linus' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC driver changes from Olof Johansson: "This is a rather large set of patches for device drivers that for one reason or another the subsystem maintainer preferred to get merged through the arm-soc tree. There are both new drivers as well as existing drivers that are getting converted from platform-specific code into standalone drivers using the appropriate subsystem specific interfaces. In particular, we can now have pinctrl, clk, clksource and irqchip drivers in one file per driver, without the need to call into platform specific interface, or to get called from platform specific code, as long as all information about the hardware is provided through a device tree. Most of the drivers we touch this time are for clocksource. Since now most of them are part of drivers/clocksource, I expect that we won't have to touch these again from arm-soc and can let the clocksource maintainers take care of these in the future. Another larger part of this series is specific to the exynos platform, which is seeing some significant effort in upstreaming and modernization of its device drivers this time around, which unfortunately is also the cause for the churn and a lot of the merge conflicts. There is one new subsystem that gets merged as part of this series: the reset controller interface, which is a very simple interface for taking devices on the SoC out of reset or back into reset. Patches to use this interface on i.MX follow later in this merge window, and we are going to have other platforms (at least tegra and sirf) get converted in 3.11. This will let us get rid of platform specific callbacks in a number of platform independent device drivers." * tag 'drivers-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (256 commits) irqchip: s3c24xx: add missing __init annotations ARM: dts: Disable the RTC by default on exynos5 clk: exynos5250: Fix parent clock for sclk_mmc{0,1,2,3} ARM: exynos: restore mach/regs-clock.h for exynos5 clocksource: exynos_mct: fix build error on non-DT pinctrl: vt8500: wmt: Fix checking return value of pinctrl_register() irqchip: vt8500: Convert arch-vt8500 to new irqchip infrastructure reset: NULL deref on allocation failure reset: Add reset controller API dt: describe base reset signal binding ARM: EXYNOS: Add arm-pmu DT binding for exynos421x ARM: EXYNOS: Add arm-pmu DT binding for exynos5250 ARM: EXYNOS: Enable PMUs for exynos4 irqchip: exynos-combiner: Correct combined IRQs for exynos4 irqchip: exynos-combiner: Add set_irq_affinity function for combiner_irq ARM: EXYNOS: fix compilation error introduced due to common clock migration clk: exynos5250: Fix divider values for sclk_mmc{0,1,2,3} clk: exynos4: export clocks required for fimc-is clk: samsung: Fix compilation error clk: tegra: fix enum tegra114_clk to match binding ...

2013-04-02cpufreq: Notify all policy->cpus in cpufreq_notify_transition()Viresh Kumar
policy->cpus contains all online cpus that have single shared clock line. And their frequencies are always updated together. Many SMP system's cpufreq drivers take care of this in individual drivers but the best place for this code is in cpufreq core. This patch modifies cpufreq_notify_transition() to notify frequency change for all cpus in policy->cpus and hence updates all users of this API. 2013-03-13ARM: at91/avr32/atmel_lcdfb: add platform device-id tableJohan Hovold
Add platform device-id table in order to identify the controller and determine its configuration. The currently used configuration parameters are: have_alt_pixclock - SOC uses an alternate pixel-clock calculation formula (at91sam9g45 non-ES) have_hozval - SOC has a HOZVAL field in LCDFRMCFG which is used to determine the linesize for STN displays (at91sam9261, at921sam9g10 and at32ap) have_intensity_bit - SOC uses IBGR:555 rather than BGR:565 16-bit pixel layout (at91sam9261, at91sam9263 and at91sam9rl) This allows us to remove all the remaining uses of cpu_is macros from the driver. Tested on at91sam9263 and at91sam9g45, compile-tested for other AT91-SOCs, and untested for AVR32. 2013-03-13ARM: at91/avr32/atmel_lcdfb: add bus-clock entryJohan Hovold
Add hclk entry for the atmel_lcdfb bus clock. On at91sam9261, at91sam9g10 and at32ap the bus clock has to be enabled as well as the peripheral clock. Add the appropriate lookup entries to these SOCs and fake clocks to the SOCs that do not use it. This allows us to get rid of the conditional enabling of the clocks in the driver which relied on the cpu_is macros. Tested on at91sam9263 and at91sam9g45, compile-tested for other AT91-SOCs, and untested for AVR32. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system Pull "Disintegrate and delete asm/system.h" from David Howells: "Here are a bunch of patches to disintegrate asm/system.h into a set of separate bits to relieve the problem of circular inclusion dependencies. I've built all the working defconfigs from all the arches that I can and made sure that they don't break. The reason for these patches is that I recently encountered a circular dependency problem that came about when I produced some patches to optimise get_order() by rewriting it to use ilog2(). This uses bitops - and on the SH arch asm/bitops.h drags in asm-generic/get_order.h by a circuituous route involving asm/system.h. The main difficulty seems to be asm/system.h. It holds a number of low level bits with no/few dependencies that are commonly used (eg. memory barriers) and a number of bits with more dependencies that aren't used in many places (eg. switch_to()). These patches break asm/system.h up into the following core pieces: (1) asm/barrier.h Move memory barriers here. This already done for MIPS and Alpha. (2) asm/switch_to.h Move switch_to() and related stuff here. (3) asm/exec.h Move arch_align_stack() here. Other process execution related bits could perhaps go here from asm/processor.h. (4) asm/cmpxchg.h Move xchg() and cmpxchg() here as they're full word atomic ops and frequently used by atomic_xchg() and atomic_cmpxchg(). (5) asm/bug.h Move die() and related bits. (6) asm/auxvec.h Move AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH here. Other arch headers are created as needed on a per-arch basis." 2011-09-11mtd: ATMEL, AVR32: inline nand partition table accessDmitry Eremin-Solenikov
Currently atmel_nand driver used by AT91 and AVR32 calls a special callback which return nand partition table and number of partitions. However in all boards this callback returns just static data. So drop this callback and make atmel_nand use partition table provided statically via platform_data. Nicolas Ferre: I am in favor for a mainline inclusion through linux-mtd tree. 2011-07-11Merge branch 'master' into for-nextJiri Kosina
Sync with Linus' tree to be able to apply pending patches that are based on newer code already present upstream.
2011-06-14avr32: make intc_resume() return void to conform to syscore_opsHans-Christian Egtvedt
This patch removes the unneeded, and now wrong, return 0 from intc_resume() and lets the function return void instead. This matches the resume callback in struct syscore_ops. Signed-off-by: Hans-Christian Egtvedt <hans-christian.egtvedt@atmel.com>
2011-06-14avr32: add some more at91 to cpu.h definitionNicolas Ferre
Somme common drivers will need those at91 cpu_is_xxx() definitions. Those definitions are already in Linus' tree so if we want to use them in common drivers, we will need them in AVR32 cpu.h file. 2011-06-14avr32/at32ap: fix mapping of platform device id for USARTHans-Christian Egtvedt
This patch will fix the mapping of the platform device id when mapping USART peripheral ID to UART platform device id. Not setting the platform device id will in most cases (when you map USART > 0 to UART 0) make the console not available. Signed-off-by: Hans-Christian Egtvedt <hans-christian.egtvedt@atmel.com>
2011-06-14avr32: fix use of non-existing portnr variable in at32_map_usart()Hans-Christian Egtvedt
This patch fixes the use of the non-existing portnr variable in at32_map_usart() to use the provided line number instead. Typo was introduced in commit 2b348e2f82f532e3aff8e0ce9293033b3294c1e0. Signed-off-by: Hans-Christian Egtvedt <hans-christian.egtvedt@atmel.com>

2011-05-11PM / AVR32: Use struct syscore_ops instead of sysdevs for PMRafael J. Wysocki
Convert some AVR32 architecture's code to using struct syscore_ops objects for power management instead of sysdev classes and sysdevs. This simplifies the code and reduces the kernel's memory footprint. It also is necessary for removing sysdevs from the kernel entirely in the future. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. 2011-04-13don't check platform_get_irq's return value against zeroUwe Kleine-König
platform_get_irq returns -ENXIO on failure, so !int_irq was probably always true. Better use (int)int_irq <= 0. Note that a return value of zero is still handled as error even though this could mean irq0. This is a followup to 305b3228f9ff4d59f49e6d34a7034d44ee8ce2f0 that changed the return value of platform_get_irq from 0 to -ENXIO on error. 2011-04-13avr32: fix deadlock when reading clock list in debugfsOle Henrik Jahren
When writing out /sys/kernel/debug/at32ap_clk, clock list lock is being held while clk_get() is called. clk_get() attempts to take the same lock, which results in deadlock. Introduce and call lock free version, __clk_get(), instead.
