2013-10-25arm64: compat: add support for big-endian (BE8) AArch32 binariesWill Deacon
This patch adds support for BE8 AArch32 tasks to the compat layer. Signed-off-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2013-04-25arm64: Fix compat types affecting struct compat_statCatalin Marinas
The compat_stat structure doesn't match the arch/arm/ struct stat definition. This patch fixes the compat types and struct compat_stat definition accordingly. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Acked-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>
2013-01-02arm64: Include linux/ptrace.h in asm/compat.hCatalin Marinas
Commit 9b064fc3f95a8e44e929fdf4d6037334ea03d15b (new helper: compat_user_stack_pointer()) introduces a call to current_pt_regs() which is defined in linux/ptrace.h, not currently included asm/compat.h. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2012-12-19new helper: compat_user_stack_pointer()Al Viro
Compat counterpart of current_user_stack_pointer(); for most of the biarch architectures those two are identical, but e.g. arm64 and arm use different registers for stack pointer... Note that amd64 variants of current_user_stack_pointer/compat_user_stack_pointer do *not* rely on pt_regs having been through FIXUP_TOP_OF_STACK. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2012-10-06compat: move compat_siginfo_t definition to asm/compat.hDenys Vlasenko
This is a preparatory patch for the introduction of NT_SIGINFO elf note. Make the location of compat_siginfo_t uniform across eight architectures which have it. Now it can be pulled in by including asm/compat.h or linux/compat.h. Most of the copies are verbatim. compat_uid[32]_t had to be replaced by __compat_uid[32]_t. compat_uptr_t had to be moved up before compat_siginfo_t in asm/compat.h on a several architectures (tile already had it moved up). compat_sigval_t had to be relocated from linux/compat.h to asm/compat.h. 2012-09-17arm64: 32-bit (compat) applications supportWill Deacon
This patch adds support for 32-bit applications. The vectors page is a binary blob mapped into the application user space at 0xffff0000 (the AArch64 toolchain does not support compilation of AArch32 code). Full compatibility with ARMv7 user space is supported. The use of deprecated ARMv7 functionality (SWP, CP15 barriers) has been disabled by default on AArch64 kernels and unaligned LDM/STM is not supported. Please note that only the ARM 32-bit EABI is supported, so no OABI compatibility.
