2012-10-13ARM: config: sort select statements alphanumericallyRussell King
As suggested by Andrew Morton: This is a pet peeve of mine. Any time there's a long list of items (header file inclusions, kconfig entries, array initalisers, etc) and someone wants to add a new item, they *always* go and stick it at the end of the list. Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen position or, probably better, alphanumerically sort the list. lets sort all our select statements alphanumerically. This commit was created by the following perl: while (<>) { while (/\\\s*$/) { $_ .= <>; } undef %selects if /^\s*config\s+/; if (/^\s+select\s+(\w+).*/) { if (defined($selects{$1})) { if ($selects{$1} eq $_) { print STDERR "Warning: removing duplicated $1 entry\n"; } else { print STDERR "Error: $1 differently selected\n". "\tOld: $selects{$1}\n". "\tNew: $_\n"; exit 1; } } $selects{$1} = $_; next; } if (%selects and (/^\s*$/ or /^\s+help/ or /^\s+---help---/ or /^endif/ or /^endchoice/)) { foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) { print "$selects{$k}"; } undef %selects; } print; } if (%selects) { foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) { print "$selects{$k}"; } } It found two duplicates: Warning: removing duplicated S5P_SETUP_MIPIPHY entry Warning: removing duplicated HARDIRQS_SW_RESEND entry and they are identical duplicates, hence the shrinkage in the diffstat of two lines. We have four testers reporting success of this change (Tony, Stephen, Linus and Sekhar.) 2012-08-08ARM: S3C24XX: Fix s3c2410_dma_enqueue parametersHeiko Stuebner
Commit d670ac019f60 (ARM: SAMSUNG: DMA Cleanup as per sparse) changed the prototype of the s3c2410_dma_* functions to use the enum dma_ch instead of an generic unsigned int. In the s3c24xx dma.c s3c2410_dma_enqueue seems to have been forgotten, the other functions there were changed correctly. 2012-07-01ARM: fiq: change FIQ_START to a variableShawn Guo
The commit a2be01b (ARM: only include mach/irqs.h for !SPARSE_IRQ) makes mach/irqs.h only be included for !SPARSE_IRQ build. There are a nubmer of platforms have FIQ_START defined in mach/irqs.h for FIQ support. arch/arm/mach-rpc/include/mach/irqs.h:#define FIQ_START 64 arch/arm/mach-s3c24xx/include/mach/irqs.h:#define FIQ_START IRQ_EINT0 arch/arm/plat-mxc/include/mach/irqs.h:#define FIQ_START 0 If SPARSE_IRQ is enabled for any of these platforms, the following compile error will be seen. arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c: In function ‘enable_fiq’: arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c:127:19: error: ‘FIQ_START’ undeclared (first use in this function) arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c:127:19: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c: In function ‘disable_fiq’: arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c:132:20: error: ‘FIQ_START’ undeclared (first use in this function) The patch changes fiq code to have init_FIQ take FIQ_START from platforms as a parameter and assign it to variable fiq_start which is to replace FIQ_START uses in enable_fiq/disable_fiq. 2012-03-30ARM: fix builds due to missing <asm/system_misc.h> includesOlof Johansson
This does a sweeping change fixing up all the missing system_misc.h and system_info.h includes from the system.h split-up change. These were the ones I came across when building all defconfigs in arch/arm/configs, there might be more but they lack adequate build coverage to be easily caught. I'm expecting to get a lot of these piecemeal by each maintainer, so we might just as well do one sweeping change to get them all at once. 2012-03-28Merge tag 'split-asm_system_h-for-linus-20120328' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system Pull "Disintegrate and delete asm/system.h" from David Howells: "Here are a bunch of patches to disintegrate asm/system.h into a set of separate bits to relieve the problem of circular inclusion dependencies. I've built all the working defconfigs from all the arches that I can and made sure that they don't break. The reason for these patches is that I recently encountered a circular dependency problem that came about when I produced some patches to optimise get_order() by rewriting it to use ilog2(). This uses bitops - and on the SH arch asm/bitops.h drags in asm-generic/get_order.h by a circuituous route involving asm/system.h. The main difficulty seems to be asm/system.h. It holds a number of low level bits with no/few dependencies that are commonly used (eg. memory barriers) and a number of bits with more dependencies that aren't used in many places (eg. switch_to()). These patches break asm/system.h up into the following core pieces: (1) asm/barrier.h Move memory barriers here. This already done for MIPS and Alpha. (2) asm/switch_to.h Move switch_to() and related stuff here. (3) asm/exec.h Move arch_align_stack() here. Other process execution related bits could perhaps go here from asm/processor.h. (4) asm/cmpxchg.h Move xchg() and cmpxchg() here as they're full word atomic ops and frequently used by atomic_xchg() and atomic_cmpxchg(). (5) asm/bug.h Move die() and related bits. (6) asm/auxvec.h Move AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH here. Other arch headers are created as needed on a per-arch basis." Fixed up some conflicts from other header file cleanups and moving code around that has happened in the meantime, so David's testing is somewhat weakened by that. 2011-10-14ARM: S3C24XX: Add devname for hsmmc1 pclkHeiko Stuebner
S3C2443 uses hsmmc1 as its only hsmmc device and for S3C2416/S3C2450 it's the second hsmmc channel with the same PCLKCON bit. The hsmmc-if clocks on both systems already got a devname, as did the hsmmc pclk for hsmmc0 on the S3C2416. So to make it possible to identify the hsmmc1 pclk on S3C2416 add the correct devname for it. The sclk name on S3C2443 also is s3c-sdhci.1. 2011-10-14ARM: S3C24XX: use clk_get_rate to init fclk in common_setup_clocksHeiko Stuebner
Previously the fclk rate was calculated by dividing the pll through the divider value of the armdiv. With a real armdiv clk in place it's possible to simply read its value, which does essentially the same. This change makes the whole fdiv_fn function pointers supplied to s3c2443_common_init_clocks and s3c2443_common_setup_clocks obsolete, so remove it too. 2011-10-14ARM: S3C2443: Accommodate cpufreq frequency scheme in armdivHeiko Stuebner
Cpufreq uses frequencies in kHz and not Hz, so set_rate and round_rate would be called with a frequency of 266666000 instead of 266666666 but the clock functions check for rates smaller or equal to the targetrate. As the armdiv does not support steps this small we can accommodate this by simply also setting the last 3 digits of the calculated rate to zero. 2011-10-14ARM: S3C2443: handle unset armdiv values gracefullyHeiko Stuebner
The armdiv array may contain unset divider values. Check the relevant value to prevent division by zero errors. Also check for set nr_armdiv and armdivmask before meddling with clkdiv0. Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>

2011-10-14ARM: S3C2443: Move clk_arm and clk_armdiv to common codeHeiko St?bner
The system-layout of the armdiv and armclk is common to S3C2443/S3C2416/S3C2450 and only differs in the array of possible dividers. Therefore it is possible to reuse the clock definitions for all of these SoCs. Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com>
2011-10-14ARM: S3C24XX: Add infrastructure to transmit armdiv to common codeHeiko Stuebner
