git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arnd/asm-generic
Pull asm-generic asm/io.h rewrite from Arnd Bergmann:
"While there normally is no reason to have a pull request for
asm-generic but have all changes get merged through whichever tree
needs them, I do have a series for 3.19.
There are two sets of patches that change significant portions of
asm/io.h, and this branch contains both in order to resolve the
conflicts:
- Will Deacon has done a set of patches to ensure that all
architectures define {read,write}{b,w,l,q}_relaxed() functions or
get them by including asm-generic/io.h.
These functions are commonly used on ARM specific drivers to avoid
expensive L2 cache synchronization implied by the normal
{read, write}{b,w,l,q}, but we need to define them on all
architectures in order to share the drivers across architectures
and to enable CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST configurations for them
- Thierry Reding has done an unrelated set of patches that extends
the asm-generic/io.h file to the degree necessary to make it useful
on ARM64 and potentially other architectures"

SA-1111 uses internal MMIO space offsets as a device name, so device
name for sa1111 pcmcia is 1800 (PCMCIA is at offset 0x1800).

Both SA1100 framebuffer and PCMCIA drivers require knowledge of cpu
frequency to correctly program timings. Currently they receive timing
information by calling cpufreq_get(0). However if cpu frequency driver
is not enabled (e.g. due to unsupported DRAM chip/board on sa1110)
cpufreq_get(0) returns 0, causing incorrect timings to be programmed.
Add cpu clock returning cpu frequency, to be used by sa11x0 fb and
pcmcia drivers.

IRQ_GPIO11_27 is a shared IRQ receiving IRQs from "high" GPIOs. It is
still handled by sa1100_normal_chip, so there is no point to exclude it
from "normal" irq domain. The IRQF_VALID flag set by domain map function
will be cleared by irq_set_chained_handler() internally.

Use gpio-charger driver instead of pda-power: it automatically cares
about used gpio and since collie does not differentiate between usb and
ac chargers, pda-power is an overkill for it.
As a bonus this allows us to remove gpio_to_irq calls from machine init
call - it is fragile. These gpio_to_irq calls will fail if gpios are
registered later, via device driver mechanisms.

<mach/memory.h>
The platforms selecting NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H defined the start address of
their physical memory in the respective <mach/memory.h>. With
ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT=y (which is quite common today) this is useless
though because the definition isn't used but determined dynamically.
So remove the definitions from all <mach/memory.h> and provide the
Kconfig symbol PHYS_OFFSET with the respective defaults in case
ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT isn't enabled.
This allows to drop the dependency of PHYS_OFFSET on !NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H
which prevents compiling an integrator nommu-kernel.
(CONFIG_PAGE_OFFSET which has "default PHYS_OFFSET if !MMU" expanded to
"0x" because CONFIG_PHYS_OFFSET doesn't exist as INTEGRATOR selects
NEED_MACH_MEMORY_H.)

Due to a problem in the MFD Kconfig it was not possible to
compile the UCB battery driver for the Collie SA1100 system,
in turn making it impossible to compile in the battery driver.
(See patch "mfd: include all drivers in subsystem menu".)
After fixing the MFD Kconfig (separate patch) a compile error
appears in the Collie battery driver due to the <mach/collie.h>
implicitly requiring <mach/hardware.h> through <linux/gpio.h>
via <mach/gpio.h> prior to commit
40ca061b "ARM: 7841/1: sa1100: remove complex GPIO interface".
Fix this up by including the required header into

next/cleanup
This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using
ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since
387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).)
To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The
respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc
(with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer).
Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that
fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not
squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to
reverify the series.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rafael/linux-pm
Pull ACPI and power management updates from Rafael Wysocki:
"As far as the number of commits goes, the top spot belongs to ACPI
this time with cpufreq in the second position and a handful of PM
core, PNP and cpuidle updates. They are fixes and cleanups mostly, as
usual, with a couple of new features in the mix.
The most visible change is probably that we will create struct
acpi_device objects (visible in sysfs) for all devices represented in
the ACPI tables regardless of their status and there will be a new
sysfs attribute under those objects allowing user space to check that
status via _STA.
Consequently, ACPI device eject or generally hot-removal will not
delete those objects, unless the table containing the corresponding
namespace nodes is unloaded, which is extremely rare. Also ACPI
container hotplug will be handled quite a bit differently and cpufreq
will support CPU boost ("turbo") generically and not only in the
acpi-cpufreq driver.
Specifics:
- ACPI core changes to make it create a struct acpi_device object for
every device represented in the ACPI tables during all namespace
scans regardless of the current status of that device. In
accordance with this, ACPI hotplug operations will not delete those
objects, unless the underlying ACPI tables go away.
- On top of the above, new sysfs attribute for ACPI device objects
allowing user space to check device status by triggering the
execution of _STA for its ACPI object. From Srinivas Pandruvada.
- ACPI core hotplug changes reducing code duplication, integrating
the PCI root hotplug with the core and reworking container hotplug.
- ACPI core simplifications making it use ACPI_COMPANION() in the
code "glueing" ACPI device objects to "physical" devices.
- ACPICA update to upstream version 20131218. This adds support for
the DBG2 and PCCT tables to ACPICA, fixes some bugs and improves
debug facilities. From Bob Moore, Lv Zheng and Betty Dall.
- Init code change to carry out the early ACPI initialization
earlier. That should allow us to use ACPI during the timekeeping
initialization and possibly to simplify the EFI initialization too.
From Chun-Yi Lee.
- Clenups of the inclusions of ACPI headers in many places all over
from Lv Zheng and Rashika Kheria (work in progress).
- New helper for ACPI _DSM execution and rework of the code in
drivers that uses _DSM to execute it via the new helper. From
Jiang Liu.
- New Win8 OSI blacklist entries from Takashi Iwai.
- Assorted ACPI fixes and cleanups from Al Stone, Emil Goode, Hanjun
Guo, Lan Tianyu, Masanari Iida, Oliver Neukum, Prarit Bhargava,
Rashika Kheria, Tang Chen, Zhang Rui.
- intel_pstate driver updates, including proper Baytrail support,

Ramachandra.

like clk_get_rate() on some platforms. Currently, they wouldn't be

While at it there are no users of CLOCK_TICK_RATE any more, so also drop
the dummy #define.

mach/timex.h is the last remaining header that is unused for multiarch
builds but necessary for singlearch builds. To allow to get rid of it
for singlearch builds, too, drop its usage in sa1100 arch code by
substituting CLOCK_TICK_RATE and LATCH by a local cpp symbol.

Use gpio_request_array to request all GPIOs at once. Also don't call
gpio_free. There is little point freeing LCD gpios once they are
requested. Instead guard them with bool variable.

The codec reset pin is connected to several peripherals. When the
reset is released, unfortunately the ADV7171 powers itself up rather
than remaining in power-down mode. As we don't have a driver for
this device, we end up needlessly consuming an additional 330mW.
Not only that but we should have a way to arbitrate the reset signal.
This patch provides that facility: we program the ADV7171 to sleep
mode whenever the reset is released, and we release the reset when
any one of the three peripherals requests the reset to be released.

The CS2 region contains the Assabet board configuration and status
registers, which are 32-bit. Unfortunately, some boot loaders do not
configure this region correctly, leaving it setup as a 16-bit region.

The SA1100 was implementing its own variants of gpio_get_value()
and gpio_set_value() and only selectively falling back to
gpiolib for extended (EGPIO) handling. However the driver in
gpio/gpio-sa1100.c already handles the same functionality for
these lines, yet remain unused.
The only upside would be things like a timing-critical hotpath
on bit-banged GPIO, but that kind of things does not seem to
happen on these GPIOs, so it is not worth having the extra
complexity.
Tested with some buttons on the Compaq iPAQ H3630.
