Pull ARM updates from Russell King:
- Correct ARMs dma-mapping to use the correct printk format strings.
- Avoid defining OBJCOPYFLAGS globally which upsets lkdtm rodata
testing.
- Cleanups to ARMs asm/memory.h include.
- L2 cache cleanups.
- Allow flat nommu binaries to be executed on ARM MMU systems.
- Kernel hardening - add more read-only after init annotations,
including making some kernel vdso variables const.
- Ensure AMBA primecell clocks are appropriately defaulted.
- ARM breakpoint cleanup.
- Various StrongARM 11x0 and companion chip (SA1111) updates to bring
this legacy platform to use more modern APIs for (eg) GPIOs and
interrupts, which will allow us in the future to reduce some of the
board-level driver clutter and elimate function callbacks into board
code via platform data. There still appears to be interest in these
platforms!
- Remove the now redundant secure_flush_area() API.
- Module PLT relocation optimisations. Ard says: This series of 4
patches optimizes the ARM PLT generation code that is invoked at
module load time, to get rid of the O(n^2) algorithm that results in
pathological load times of 10 seconds or more for large modules on
certain STB platforms.
- ARMv7M cache maintanence support.
- L2 cache PMU support

Pull GPIO updates from Linus Walleij:
"This is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v4.9 series:
Subsystem improvements:
- do away with the last users of the obsolete Kconfig options
ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB and ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB (the latter
always sounded like an item on a wishlist to Santa Claus to me). We
can now select GPIOLIB and be done with it, for all archs. After
some struggle it even work on UM. Not that it has GPIO, but if it
wants to, it can select the library.
- continued efforts to make drivers properly either tristate or bool.
- introduce a warning for drivers assigning default triggers to their
irqchip lines when probed from device tree, so we find and fix
these ambigous drivers. It is agreed that in the OF config path,
the device tree defines trigger characteristics.
- the same warning, mutatis mutandis, for ACPI-probed GPIO irqchips.
- we introduce the ability to mark certain IRQ lines as "unusable" as
they can be taken by BIOS/firmware, unrouted in silicon and
generally nasty if you use them, and such things. This is put to
good use in the STMPE driver and also in the Cherryview pin control
driver.
- a new "mockup" virtual GPIO device that can be used for testing.
The plan is to add unit tests under tools/* for exercising this
device and verify that the kernel code paths are working as they
should.
- make memory-mapped I/O-drivers depend on HAS_IOMEM. This was
implicit all the time, but when people started building UM with
allyesconfig or allmodconfig it exploded in their face.
- move some stray bits of device tree and ACPI HW description
callbacks down into their respective implementation silo. These
were causing issues when compiling on !HAS_IOMEM as well, so now
eventually UM compiles the GPIOLIB library if it wants to.
New drivers:
- new driver for the Aspeed GPIO front-end companion to the pin
controller merged through the pin control tree.
- new driver for the LP873x PMIC GPIO portions.
- new driver for Technologic Systems' I2C FPGA GPIO such as TS4900,
TS-7970, TS-7990 and TS-4100.
- new driver for the Broadcom BCM63xx series including BCM6338 and
BCM6345.
- new driver for the Intel WhiskeyCove PMIC GPIO.
- new driver for the Allwinner AXP209 PMIC GPIO portions.
- new driver for Diamond Systems 48 line GPIO-MM, another of these
port-mapped I/O expansion cards.
- support the STMicroelectronics STMPE1600 variant in the STMPE
driver.
Driver improvements:
- the STMPE driver now supports rising/falling edge detection
properly for IRQs.
- the PCA954x will now fetch and enable its VCC regulator properly.
- major rework of the PCA953x driver with the goal of eventually
switching it over to use regmap and thus modernize it even more.
- switch the IOP driver to use the generic MMIO GPIO library.
- move the ages old HTC EGPIO (extended GPIO) GPIO expander driver
over to this subsystem from MFD, achieveing some separation of
concerns"

Commit b70661c70830 ("net: smc91x: use run-time configuration on all ARM
machines") broke some ARM platforms through several mistakes. Firstly,
the access size must correspond to the following rule:
(a) at least one of 16-bit or 8-bit access size must be supported
(b) 32-bit accesses are optional, and may be enabled in addition to
the above.
Secondly, it provides no emulation of 16-bit accesses, instead blindly
making 16-bit accesses even when the platform specifies that only 8-bit
is supported.
Reorganise smc91x.h so we can make use of the existing 16-bit access
emulation already provided - if 16-bit accesses are supported, use
16-bit accesses directly, otherwise if 8-bit accesses are supported,
use the provided 16-bit access emulation. If neither, BUG(). This
exactly reflects the driver behaviour prior to the commit being fixed.
Since the conversion incorrectly cut down the available access sizes on
several platforms, we also need to go through every platform and fix up
the overly-restrictive access size: Arnd assumed that if a platform can
perform 32-bit, 16-bit and 8-bit accesses, then only a 32-bit access
size needed to be specified - not so, all available access sizes must
be specified.
This likely fixes some performance regressions in doing this: if a
platform does not support 8-bit accesses, 8-bit accesses have been
emulated by performing a 16-bit read-modify-write access.
Tested on the Intel Assabet/Neponset platform, which supports only 8-bit
accesses, which was broken by the original commit.

Document the UNCACHEABLE_ADDR definitions for footbridge and SA1100
so that we know where they're located and/or what they're accessing.
Change RiscPC to calculate the UNCACHEABLE_ADDR value from FLUSH_BASE
as that's where we locate that.
UNCACHEABLE_ADDR is used to perform an uncached access (ARMv4
terminology) necessary to force a CPU clock-switch to the memory-
speed clock, as required for entering WFI.

Since we switched to use pxa_timer, we need to provide the OSTIMER0
clock. However, as the clock is initialised early, we need to provide
the clock early as well, so that pxa_timer can find it. Adding the
clock to the clkdev table at core_initcall() time is way too late.
Move the initialisation earlier.

When CONFIG_DEBUG_ICEDCC is set, we don't use the platform
specific putc() function, but use icedcc_putc() instead, so
putc is unused and causes a compile time warning:
In file included from ../arch/arm/boot/compressed/misc.c:28:0:
arch/arm/mach-rpc/include/mach/uncompress.h:79:13: warning: 'putc' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
arch/arm/mach-w90x900/include/mach/uncompress.h:30:13: warning: 'putc' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
On most platforms, this does not happen, because putc is defined
as 'static inline' so the compiler will automatically drop it
when it's unused.
This changes the remaining seven platforms to behave the same way.

set_irq_flags is ARM specific with custom flags which have genirq
equivalents. Convert drivers to use the genirq interfaces directly, so we
can kill off set_irq_flags. The translation of flags is as follows:
IRQF_VALID -> !IRQ_NOREQUEST
IRQF_PROBE -> !IRQ_NOPROBE
IRQF_NOAUTOEN -> IRQ_NOAUTOEN
For IRQs managed by an irqdomain, the irqdomain core code handles clearing
and setting IRQ_NOREQUEST already, so there is no need to do this in
.map() functions and we can simply remove the set_irq_flags calls. Some
users also modify IRQ_NOPROBE and this has been maintained although it
is not clear that is really needed. There appears to be a great deal of
blind copy and paste of this code.

I recently did a rework of the smc91x driver and did some build-testing
by compiling hundreds of randconfig kernels. Unfortunately, my script
was wrong and did not actually test the configurations that mattered,
so I introduced stupid typos in almost every file I touched.
I fixed my script now, built all configurations that actually matter
and fixed all the typos, this is the result.

The smc91x driver traditionally gets configured at compile-time
for whichever hardware it runs on. This no longer works on
ARM as we continue to move to building all-in-one kernels.
Most ARM configurations with this driver already use run-time
configuration through DT or through platform_data, but a
few have not been converted yet.
I've checked all ARM boards that use this driver in their
legacy board files, and converted the ones that were using
compile-time configuration in smc91x.h to behave like the
other ones and provide the interrupt polarity along with
the MMIO configuration (width, stride) at platform device
creation time.
In particular, these combinations were previously selectable
in Kconfig but in fact broken:
- sa1100 assabet plus pleb
- msm combined with any other armv6/v7 platform
- pxa-idp combined with any non-DMA pxa variant
- LogicPD PXA270 combined with any other pxa
- nomadik combined with any other armv4/v5 platform,
e.g. versatile.
None of these seem critical enough to warrant a backport
to stable, but it would be nice to clean this up for good.

I would like the patch to get merged through netdev, after
Robert and/or Linus have verified it on at least some hardware.
There are a few other non-ARM platforms using this driver,
I could do the same patch for those if we want to take
it further.

StrongARM core uses RCSR SMR bit to tell to bootloader that it was reset
by entering the sleep mode. After we have resumed, there is little point
in having that bit enabled. Moreover, if this bit is set before reboot,
the bootloader can become confused. Thus clear the SMR bit on resume
just before clearing the scratchpad (resume address) register.

Low GPIO pins use an interrupt in SC interrupts space. However it's
possible to handle them as if all the GPIO interrupts are instead tied
to single GPIO handler, which later decodes GEDR register and
chain-calls next IRQ handler. So split first 11 interrupts into system
part (IRQ_GPIO0_SC - IRQ_GPIO10_SC) which work exactly like the rest of
system controller interrupts and real GPIO interrupts
(IRQ_GPIO0..IRQ_GPIO10). A single handler sa1100_gpio_handler then
decodes and calls next handler.

Pull asm-generic asm/io.h rewrite from Arnd Bergmann:
"While there normally is no reason to have a pull request for
asm-generic but have all changes get merged through whichever tree
needs them, I do have a series for 3.19.
There are two sets of patches that change significant portions of
asm/io.h, and this branch contains both in order to resolve the
conflicts:
- Will Deacon has done a set of patches to ensure that all
architectures define {read,write}{b,w,l,q}_relaxed() functions or
get them by including asm-generic/io.h.
These functions are commonly used on ARM specific drivers to avoid
expensive L2 cache synchronization implied by the normal
{read, write}{b,w,l,q}, but we need to define them on all
architectures in order to share the drivers across architectures
and to enable CONFIG_COMPILE_TEST configurations for them
- Thierry Reding has done an unrelated set of patches that extends
the asm-generic/io.h file to the degree necessary to make it useful
on ARM64 and potentially other architectures"

Both SA1100 framebuffer and PCMCIA drivers require knowledge of cpu
frequency to correctly program timings. Currently they receive timing
information by calling cpufreq_get(0). However if cpu frequency driver
is not enabled (e.g. due to unsupported DRAM chip/board on sa1110)
cpufreq_get(0) returns 0, causing incorrect timings to be programmed.
Add cpu clock returning cpu frequency, to be used by sa11x0 fb and
