After refactoring suspend/resume, which was last part with dependencies
on legacy code, all Kconfig symbols related to Samsung ATAGS support can
be deselected and more unused code removed. This includes most of s5p-*
code as well, as s5pv210 was their last user.

The only remaining driver using the samsung dmadev code is the broken
samsung-ac97 sound driver. However, as found by Russell's autobuilder,
the elaborate dependency chains around it cause problems with
circular dependencies.
This is an attempt to simplify those dependencies by making the
SAMSUNG_DMADEV option user-selectable. I also try to keep the
default settings for all related options unchanged, so we don't
introduce any regressions against earlier testing on linux-next.
In particular, all s3c64xx and s5p* platforms keep selecting the
pl330 and pl08x drivers they require, but the select statement
is now moved towards the main platform option, and it remains
optional by unselecting CONFIG_DMADEVICES.

By reading the touchscreen configuration from the settings that the

The matrix size is not used for anything, and results in some rather
confusing code to re-read it because it may change when configuration

It is not necessary to download these values to the maXTouch chip on every
probe, since they are stored in NVRAM. It makes life difficult when tuning
the device to keep them in sync with the config array/file, and requires a
new kernel build for minor tweaks.
These parameters only represent a tiny subset of the available
configuration options, tracking all of these options in platform data would
be a endless task. In addition, different versions of maXTouch chips may
have these values in different places or may not even have them at all.
Having these values also makes life more complex for device tree and other
platforms where having to define a static configuration isn't helpful.

still is for "normal" builds. As the previous patches fix all sites to

In case there is any board file for S5PV210 platforms using MIPI
CSIS/DSIM (not any upstream currently) it should use the generic

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc
Pull ARM SoC driver changes from Olof Johansson:
"This is a rather large set of patches for device drivers that for one
reason or another the subsystem maintainer preferred to get merged
through the arm-soc tree. There are both new drivers as well as
existing drivers that are getting converted from platform-specific
code into standalone drivers using the appropriate subsystem specific
interfaces.
In particular, we can now have pinctrl, clk, clksource and irqchip
drivers in one file per driver, without the need to call into platform
specific interface, or to get called from platform specific code, as
long as all information about the hardware is provided through a
device tree.
Most of the drivers we touch this time are for clocksource. Since now
most of them are part of drivers/clocksource, I expect that we won't
have to touch these again from arm-soc and can let the clocksource
maintainers take care of these in the future.
Another larger part of this series is specific to the exynos platform,
which is seeing some significant effort in upstreaming and
modernization of its device drivers this time around, which
unfortunately is also the cause for the churn and a lot of the merge
conflicts.
There is one new subsystem that gets merged as part of this series:
the reset controller interface, which is a very simple interface for
taking devices on the SoC out of reset or back into reset. Patches to
use this interface on i.MX follow later in this merge window, and we
are going to have other platforms (at least tegra and sirf) get
converted in 3.11. This will let us get rid of platform specific
callbacks in a number of platform independent device drivers."

Pull ARM SoC multiplatform updates from Olof Johansson:
"More multiplatform enablement for ARM platforms. The ones converted
in this branch are:
- bcm2835
- cns3xxx
- sirf
- nomadik
- msx
- spear
- tegra
- ux500
We're getting close to having most of them converted!
One of the larger platforms remaining is Samsung Exynos, and there are
a bunch of supporting patches in this merge window for it. There was
a patch in this branch to a early version of multiplatform conversion,
but it ended up being reverted due to need of more bake time. The
revert commit is part of the branch since it would have required
rebasing multiple dependent branches and they were stable by then"

plat/regs-sdhci.h is not used anywhere but in the sdhci-s3c
driver, so it can become a local file there and all other
inclusions removed.
plat/sdhci.h is used only to define the platform devices,
and with the exception of the platform_data structure not
needed by the driver, so we can split out the platform_data
definition instead and leave the rest to platform code.

The move is necessary to support early debug output on exynos
with multiplatform configurations. This implies also moving the
plat/debug-macro.S file, but we are leaving the remaining users of that
file in place, to avoid adding large numbers of extra configuration
options to Kconfig.debug

The definitions have moved to include/linux/usb/samsung-usb-phy.h,
and plat/usb-phy.h is unavailable from drivers in a multiplatform
configuration.
Also fix up the plat/usb-phy.h header file to use the definitions
from the new header instead of providing a separate copy.

next/drivers
From Tony Prisk <linux@prisktech.co.nz>:
arm: vt8500: Add pinctrl driver for arch-vt8500
This series adds support for the pinctrl/gpio module on all arch-vt8500
supported SoCs.
As part of the review process, some tidy up is also done to
drivers/of/base.c to remove some code that is being constantly duplicated.
Also, a patch for the bcm2835 pinctrl driver is included to take advantage
of the new of/base.c code.

56bc911 "[media] s5p-fimc: Redefine platform data structure for fimc-is"
changed the bus_type member of struct fimc_source_info treewide, but
got one instance wrong in mach-s5pv210, which was evidently not
even build tested.
This adds the missing change to get s5pv210_defconfig to build again.
Applies on the Mauro's media tree.

Since the DMA controller clocks are managed at amba bus level, the
PL330 device clocks handling has been removed from the driver in
commit 7c71b8eb("DMA: PL330: Remove redundant runtime_suspend/
resume functions")
However, this left the S5PV210 platform with only clkdev entries
linking "apb_pclk" clock conn_id to a dummy clock, rather than
to corresponding platform PL330 DMAC clock.
As a result the DMA controller is now attempted to be used on
S5PV210 with the clock disabled and the driver fails with an
error:
dma-pl330 dma-pl330.0: PERIPH_ID 0x0, PCELL_ID 0x0 !
dma-pl330: probe of dma-pl330.0 failed with error -22
dma-pl330 dma-pl330.1: PERIPH_ID 0x0, PCELL_ID 0x0 !
dma-pl330: probe of dma-pl330.1 failed with error -22
Fix this by adding "apb_pclk" clkdev entries for the Peripheral
DMA controllers 0/1 and removing the dummy apb_pclk clock.
