2011-09-16ARM: S3C24XX: Remove hw_addr from s3c24xx dma channel declarationsHeiko Stuebner
According to commit c4806174c516d26bf4a72db1789cfc96e4950d07 (ARM: S3C2412: DMA: Remove I2S FIFO address) the S3C DMA API does not make use of hw_addr.to/from declared for some of the channels in mach-s3c24XX/dma.c Grepping through the kernel also did non reveal any new users of these properties since the mentioned commit. 2010-02-21ARM: SAMSUNG: Remove dma-plat.h to allow plat-s3c64xx to be removedBen Dooks
dma-plat.h is the last file left in plat-s3c64xx, but to remove it we must also change the use of dma-plat.h by the core code and the s3c24xx implementation. Rename the s3c24xx dma-plat.h in the common plat-samsung directory as it may be used for other ports. Move the specific dma bits into the mach-s3c64xx directory and update the build as needed. 2009-07-30ARM: S3C2410: Add S3C2410A sysdev.Ben Dooks
Add a sysdev S3C2410A sysdev to allow the differentiation of the S3C2410A from the S3C2410. This is needed for the CPUFREQ code to enable the extra features and update cpu specific information. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben@simtec.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2009-05-01[ARM] S3C24XX: dma.h should not include <mach/hardware.h>Ben Dooks
The dma.h header does not need to include <mach/hardware.h> as there is nothing it depends on. Remove the include and fixup the couple of places where <mach/map.h> was not explicitly included (dragged in via <mach/hardware.h>) Note, we have to fix arch/arm/plat-s3c24xx/pm.c which seems to rely on having <mach/hardware.h> included by this method. 2009-05-01[ARM] S3C24XX: DMA: Split hardware regs out of <mach/dma.h>Ben Dooks
The <mach/dma.h> is for the driver API for the DMA system and should not have anything relying on the CPU specific registers. Remove the registers to <plat/dma-regs.h> for the code that really needs to know about them. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben@simtec.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>
2009-05-01[ARM] S3C24XX: Move plat/dma.hBen Dooks
Move the platform dma.h to dma-plat.h to ensure it doen't get confused with plat/dma.h Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben@simtec.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org>

2008-11-29[ARM] Hide ISA DMA API when ISA_DMA_API is unsetRussell King
When ISA_DMA_API is unset, we're not implementing the ISA DMA API, so there's no point in publishing the prototypes via asm/dma.h, nor including the machine dependent parts of that API. This allows us to remove a lot of mach/dma.h files which don't contain any useful code. Unfortunately though, some platforms put their own private non-ISA definitions into mach/dma.h, so we leave these behind and fix the appropriate #include statments. 2007-07-22[ARM] 4524/1: S3C: Move register out of include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410Ben Dooks
Move register and other definitions out of the include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410 into the the arch directories of include/asm-arm/plat-s3c24xx and include/asm-arm/plat-s3c. This move is in preperation of the merging of s3c2400 and s3c6400. 2007-07-22[ARM] 4508/1: S3C: Move items to include/asm-arm/plat-s3cBen Dooks
This patch moves items of the s3c24xx support into a new plat-s3c directory for items that use the s3c24xx support but are not directly s3c24xx compatible, such as the s3c2400 and s3c6400. git mv commands: git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/iic.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/iic.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/nand.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/nand.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-iic.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-iic.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-nand.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-nand.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-rtc.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-rtc.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-serial.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-serial.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-timer.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-timer.h git mv include/asm-arm/arch-s3c2410/regs-watchdog.h include/asm-arm/plat-s3c/regs-watchdog.h Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2007-02-17[ARM] 4220/1: S3C24XX: DMA system initialised from sysdevBen Dooks
This patch gets the DMA system for the S3C24XX ready for the S3C2443, which requires 6 dma channels at a different stride, and different base IRQ. The DMA system is now initialised from the same drivers which apply the DMA mappings, as well as removing the DMA sysdev intialisation out of the main init code (which is now being called from a sysdev probe, so cannot add a new sysdev) Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2006-12-07[PATCH] slab: remove kmem_cache_tChristoph Lameter
Replace all uses of kmem_cache_t with struct kmem_cache. The patch was generated using the following script: #!/bin/sh # # Replace one string by another in all the kernel sources. # set -e for file in `find * -name "*.c" -o -name "*.h"|xargs grep -l $1`; do quilt add $file sed -e "1,\$s/$1/$2/g" $file >/tmp/$$ mv /tmp/$$ $file quilt refresh done The script was run like this sh replace kmem_cache_t "struct kmem_cache" Signed-off-by: Christoph Lameter <clameter@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2006-09-25[ARM] 3796/1: S3C24XX: Add per-cpu DMA channel mapperBen Dooks
Allow each CPU type in the S3C24XX range to select the DMA channel mapping it supports. We change the DMA registration to use an virtual channel number that the DMA system will allocate to a hardware channel at request time. 2006-08-31[ARM] 3764/1: S3C24XX: change type naming to kernel styleBen Dooks
Patch from Ben Dooks The type naming in the s3c24xx dma code is riddled with typedefs creating _t types, from the code import from 2.4 which is contrary to the current Kernel coding style. This patch cleans this up, removing the typedefs and and fixing up the resultant code changes. Signed-off-by: Ben Dooks <ben-linux@fluff.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2006-08-18[ARM] 3753/1: S3C24XX: DMA fixesBen Dooks
Patch from Ben Dooks A number of small issues with the S3C24XX DMA have cropped up, which this patch fixes. These are: - check wether we can load another buff in start - update state handling in s3c2410_dma_lastxfer - only reload in irq if channel is not idle - more informative timeout errors (add source) - do not call request_irq() with irqs locked - added waitforstop function The patch also adds a S3C2410_DMAOP_STARTED for the occasions when the driver wants to ensure that the DMA system load state is resynced after loading. 2005-06-03[PATCH] ARM: 2694/1: [s3c2410/dma] release irq properly to fix kernel oopsAlbrecht Dreß
Patch from Albrecht Dreß Problem: When a module requests a DMA channel via the function s3c2410_dma_request(), this function requests the appropriate irq under the name of the client module. When the client module is unloaded, it calls s3c2410_dma_free() which does not free the irq. Consequently, when e.g. running "cat /proc/interrupts", the irq owner points to freed memory, leading to a kernel oops. File: linux/arch/arm/mach-s3c2410/dma.c Fix: trivial, below Signed-off-by: Albrecht Dreß Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
