2018-07-11ARM: i.MX31: remove rnga registration as a platform deviceVladimir Zapolskiy
On i.MX31 powered boards with OF support Security Random Number Generator Accelerator RNGA controller is initialized from device tree, its registration as a platform device is redundant and actually it is broken due to missing clock information: mxc_rnga mxc_rnga: Could not get rng_clk! mxc_rnga: probe of mxc_rnga failed with error -2 Signed-off-by: Vladimir Zapolskiy <vz@mleia.com> Reviewed-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2016-11-01ARM: clk: imx31: properly init clocks for machines with DTVladimir Zapolskiy
Clock initialization for i.MX31 powered machines with DT support should be done by a call of an init function registered with CLK_OF_DECLARE() in common clock framework. The change converts exported mx31_clocks_init_dt() into a static initialization function registered by CLK_OF_DECLARE(). 2016-06-28ARM: imx: deconstruct mxc_rnga initializationArnd Bergmann
The rnga platform device is initialized for all imx31 machines from its own initcall, but is never initialized anywhere else. This moves the platform device creation into both the imx31 dt and non-dt machine init sequences, which has basically the exact same effect as before, but makes it more obvious what is going on, while reducing the amount of code and removing the last user of cpu_is_mx31(). 2014-11-22ARM: imx: clean up machine mxc_arch_reset_init_dt reset initJingchang Lu
System restart mechanism has been changed with the introduction of "kernel restart handler call chain support". The imx2 watchdog based restart handler has been moved to the driver, and these restart can be removed from the machine layer. This patch cleans up the device tree version machine reset init with mxc_arch_reset_init_dt and removes corresponding .restart handler, for the .init_machine that can be handled by system default after removing the mxc_arch_reset_init_dt, the .init_machine is also removed. 2014-07-18ARM: imx: mark .dt_compat as constShawn Guo
Otherwise GCC will mark the .init.rodata section R/W, which causes a compile error once we add other real R/O data. Signed-off-by: Lucas Stach <l.stach@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@freescale.com>

This patch moves IRQ handler setup to the its corresponded IRQ driver (AVIC, TZIC). Signed-off-by: Alexander Shiyan <shc_work@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@freescale.com>
2013-12-31ARM: imx: use __initconst for const init definitionShawn Guo

2013-06-17ARM: imx: create mxc_arch_reset_init_dt() for DT bootShawn Guo
The mxc_arch_reset_init() uses static mapping and calls clk_get_sys() to get clock. It's suitable for non-DT boot but not for DT boot where dynamic mapping and of_clk_get() should be used instead. Create mxc_arch_reset_init_dt() as the DT variant of mxc_arch_reset_init(), and change DT platforms to use it. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
2013-06-17ARM: imx: move clk_prepare() out from mxc_restart()Shawn Guo
It's inappropriate to call clk_prepare() in mxc_restart(), because the restart routine could be called in atomic context. Move clk_get() and clk_prepare() into mxc_arch_reset_init() and only have the atomic part clk_enable() be called in mxc_restart(). As a result, mxc_arch_reset_init() needs to be called after clk gets initialized. While there, it also changes printk(KERN_ERR ...) to pr_err() and adds __init annotation for mxc_arch_reset_init(). 2013-01-31ARM: imx: fix imx31-dt.c time-related warningStephen Warren
Commit 6bb27d7 "ARM: delete struct sys_timer" caused the following: arch/arm/mach-imx/imx31-dt.c:56:2: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type [enabled by default] arch/arm/mach-imx/imx31-dt.c:56:2: warning: (near initialization for ‘__mach_desc_IMX31_DT.init_time’) [enabled by default] This is because mx31_clocks_init_dt() returns int, whereas the .init_time field prototype expects a function returning void. 2012-12-24ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren
Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. 2012-10-15ARM: imx: include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.hShawn Guo
It moves a bunch of header files included in hardware.h and itself from mach-imx/include/mach to mach-imx, and updates users to include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.h. The files in mach-imx/devices will need to include "../hardware.h".
