Merge "ARM: EXYNOS: Fix for 4.1, 4th" from Krzysztof Kozlowski: Fix for Exynos3250 RTC wake-up interrupts after converting PMU wakeup to stacked domains. This allows waking up the device from suspend to RAM using S3C RTC driver (the RTC on SoC). The patch should be applied some time ago, unfortunately it seems it slipped through fingers. * tag 'samsung-fixes-4.1-4' of https://github.com/krzk/linux: ARM: exynos: Fix wake-up interrupts for Exynos3250
2015-06-01ARM: exynos: Fix wake-up interrupts for Exynos3250Marc Zyngier
Commit 8b283c025443 (ARM: exynos4/5: convert pmu wakeup to stacked domains) changed the Exynos PMU code to use stacked domains. This has led to a number of interrupt numbers to be fixed. In the meantime, support for Exynos 3250 was added, missing the required change to this platform. This amounts to revert ace283a04a4a (ARM: EXYNOS: Fix wrong hwirq of RTC interrupt for Exynos3250 SoC), as the initial patch was right, just a bit early... 2015-05-14ARM: EXYNOS: Fix failed second suspend on Exynos4Krzysztof Kozlowski
On Exynos4412 boards (Trats2, Odroid U3) after enabling L2 cache in 56b60b8bce4a ("ARM: 8265/1: dts: exynos4: Add nodes for L2 cache controller") the second suspend to RAM failed. First suspend worked fine but the next one hang just after powering down of secondary CPUs (system consumed energy as it would be running but was not responsive). The issue was caused by enabling delayed reset assertion for CPU0 just after issuing power down of cores. This was introduced for Exynos4 in 13cfa6c4f7fa ("ARM: EXYNOS: Fix CPU idle clock down after CPU off"). The whole behavior is not well documented but after checking with vendor code this should be done like this (on Exynos4): 1. Enable delayed reset assertion when system is running (for all CPUs). 2. Disable delayed reset assertion before suspending the system. This can be done after powering off secondary CPUs. 3. Re-enable the delayed reset assertion when system is resumed. 2015-05-13ARM: EXYNOS: Fix dereference of ERR_PTR returned by of_genpd_get_from_providerKrzysztof Kozlowski
ERR_PTR was dereferenced during sub domain parsing, if parent domain could not be obtained (because of invalid phandle or deferred registration of parent domain). The Exynos power domain code checked whether of_genpd_get_from_provider() returned NULL and in that case it skipped that power domain node. However this function returns ERR_PTR or valid pointer, not NULL. Pull ARM updates from Russell King: "Included in this update are both some long term fixes and some new features. Fixes: - An integer overflow in the calculation of ELF_ET_DYN_BASE. - Avoiding OOMs for high-order IOMMU allocations - SMP requires the data cache to be enabled for synchronisation primitives to work, so prevent the CPU_DCACHE_DISABLE option being visible on SMP builds. - A bug going back 10+ years in the noMMU ARM94* CPU support code, where it corrupts registers. Found by folk getting Linux running on their cameras. - Versatile Express needs an errata workaround enabled for CPU hot-unplug to work. Features: - Clean up module linker by handling out of range relocations separately from relocation cases we don't handle. - Fix a long term bug in the pci_mmap_page_range() code, which we hope won't impact userspace (we hope there's no users of the existing broken interface.) - Don't map DMA coherent allocations when we don't have a MMU. - Drop experimental status for SMP_ON_UP. - Warn when DT doesn't specify ePAPR mandatory cache properties. - Add documentation concerning how we find the start of physical memory for AUTO_ZRELADDR kernels, detailing why we have chosen the mask and the implications of changing it. - Updates from Ard Biesheuvel to address some issues with large kernels (such as allyesconfig) failing to link. - Allow hibernation to work on modern (ARMv7) CPUs - this appears to have never worked in the past on these CPUs. - Enable IRQ_SHOW_LEVEL, which changes the /proc/interrupts output format (hopefully without userspace breaking... let's hope that if it causes someone a problem, they tell us.) - Fix tegra-ahb DT offsets. - Rework ARM errata 643719 code (and ARMv7 flush_cache_louis()/ flush_dcache_all()) code to be more efficient, and enable this errata workaround by default for ARMv7+SMP CPUs. This complements the Versatile Express fix above. - Rework ARMv7 context code for errata 430973, so that only Cortex A8 CPUs are impacted by the branch target buffer flush when this errata is enabled. Also update the help text to indicate that all r1p* A8 CPUs are impacted. - Switch ARM to the generic show_mem() implementation, it conveys all the information which we were already reporting. - Prevent slow timer sources being used for udelay() - timers running at less than 1MHz are not useful for this, and can cause udelay() to return immediately, without any wait. Using such a slow timer is silly. - VDSO support for 32-bit ARM, mainly for gettimeofday() using the ARM architected timer. - Perf support for Scorpion performance monitoring units" vdso semantic conflict fixed up as per linux-next. * 'for-linus' of git://ftp.arm.linux.org.uk/~rmk/linux-arm: (52 commits) ARM: update errata 430973 documentation to cover Cortex A8 r1p* ARM: ensure delay timer has sufficient accuracy for delays ARM: switch to use the generic show_mem() implementation ARM: proc-v7: avoid errata 430973 workaround for non-Cortex A8 CPUs ARM: enable ARM errata 643719 workaround by default ARM: cache-v7: optimise test for Cortex A9 r0pX devices ARM: cache-v7: optimise branches in v7_flush_cache_louis ARM: cache-v7: consolidate initialisation of cache level index ARM: cache-v7: shift CLIDR to extract appropriate field before masking ARM: cache-v7: use movw/movt instructions ARM: allow 16-bit instructions in ALT_UP() ARM: proc-arm94*.S: fix setup function ARM: vexpress: fix CPU hotplug with CT9x4 tile. ARM_CCI400_PORT_CTRL - controls the low level driver code for CCI400 ports. ARM_CCI400_PMU - controls the PMU driver code ARM_CCI400_COMMON - Common defintions for CCI400 This patch also changes: ARM_CCI - common code for probing the CCI devices. 2015-03-18ARM: exynos4/5: convert pmu wakeup to stacked domainsMarc Zyngier
Exynos has been (ab)using the gic_arch_extn to provide wakeup from suspend, and it makes a lot of sense to convert this code to use stacked domains instead. This patch does just this, updating the DT files to actually reflect what the HW provides. BIG FAT WARNING: because the DTs were so far lying by not exposing the fact that the PMU block is actually the first interrupt controller in the chain for RTC, kernels with this patch applied wont have any suspend-resume facility when booted with old DTs, and old kernels with updated DTs may not even boot. Also, I strongly suspect that there is more than two wake-up interrupts on these platforms, but I leave it to the maintainers to fix their mess. 2015-02-19ARM: make arrays containing machine compatible strings constUwe Kleine-König
The definition static const char *axxia_dt_match[] __initconst = { ... defines a changable array of constant strings. That is you must not do: *axxia_dt_match[0] = 'k'; but axxia_dt_match[0] = "different string"; is fine. So the annotation __initconst is wrong and yields a compiler error when other really const variables are added with __initconst. As the struct machine_desc member dt_compat is declared as const char *const *dt_compat; making the arrays const is the better alternative over changing all annotations to __initdata. The following patch adds coupled cpuidle support for Exynos4210 to an existing cpuidle-exynos driver. As a result it enables AFTR mode to be used by default on Exynos4210 without the need to hot unplug CPU1 first. The patch is heavily based on earlier cpuidle-exynos4210 driver from Daniel Lezcano: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-samsung-soc/msg28134.html Changes from Daniel's code include: - porting code to current kernels - fixing it to work on my setup (by using S5P_INFORM register instead of S5P_VA_SYSRAM one on Revison 1.1 and retrying poking CPU1 out of the BOOT ROM if necessary) - fixing rare lockup caused by waiting for CPU1 to get stuck in the BOOT ROM (CPU hotplug code in arch/arm/mach-exynos/platsmp.c doesn't require this and works fine) - moving Exynos specific code to arch/arm/mach-exynos/pm.c - using cpu_boot_reg_base() helper instead of BOOT_VECTOR macro - using exynos_cpu_*() helpers instead of accessing registers directly - using arch_send_wakeup_ipi_mask() instead of dsb_sev() (this matches CPU hotplug code in arch/arm/mach-exynos/platsmp.c) - integrating separate exynos4210-cpuidle driver into existing exynos-cpuidle one Cc: Colin Cross <ccross@google.com> Cc: Kukjin Kim <kgene.kim@samsung.com> Cc: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski@samsung.com> Cc: Tomasz Figa <tomasz.figa@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Lezcano <daniel.lezcano@linaro.org> Acked-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kukjin Kim <kgene@kernel.org>

Replace PM_RUNTIME with PM in Kconfig dependencies throughout the tree. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Arnd Bergmann: "The remaining cleanups for 3.19 are to a large part result of devicetree conversion nearing completion on two other platforms besides AT91: - Like AT91, Renesas shmobile is in the process to migrate to DT and multiplatform, but using a different approach of doing it one SoC at a time. For 3.19, the r8a7791 platform and associated "Koelsch" board are considered complete and we remove the non-DT non-multiplatform support for this. - The ARM Versatile Express has supported DT and multiplatform for a long time, but we have still kept the legacy board files around, because not all drivers were fully working before. We have finally taken the last step to remove the board files. Other changes in this branch are preparation for the later branches or just unrelated to the more interesting changes: - The dts files for arm64 get moved into per-vendor directories for a clearer structure. - Some dead code removal (zynq, exynos, davinci, imx) - Using pr_*() macros more consistently instead of printk(KERN_*) in some platform code" * tag 'cleanup-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (71 commits) ARM: zynq: Remove secondary_startup() declaration from header ARM: vexpress: Enable regulator framework when MMCI is in use ARM: vexpress: Remove non-DT code ARM: imx: Remove unneeded .map_io initialization ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Fix the microphone route ARM: imx: refactor mxc_iomux_mode() ARM: imx: simplify clk_pllv3_prepare() ARM: imx6q: drop unnecessary semicolon ARM: imx: clean up machine mxc_arch_reset_init_dt reset init ARM: dts: imx6qdl-rex: Remove unneeded 'fsl, mode' property ARM: dts: imx6qdl-gw5x: Remove unneeded 'fsl, mode' property ARM: dts: imx6qdl-sabresd: Use IMX6QDL_CLK_CKO define ARM: at91: remove useless init_time for DT-only SoCs ARM: davinci: Remove redundant casts ARM: davinci: Use standard logging styles ARM: shmobile: r8a7779: Spelling/grammar s/entity/identity/, s/map/mapping/ ARM: shmobile: sh7372: Spelling/grammar s/entity map/identity mapping/ ARM: shmobile: sh73a0: Spelling/grammar s/entity map/identity mapping/ ARM: EXYNOS: Remove unused static iomapping ARM: at91: fix build breakage due to legacy board removals ...
