2012-03-13ARM: create a common IOMEM definitionRob Herring
Several platforms create IOMEM defines for casting to 'void __iomem *', and other platforms are incorrectly using __io() macro for the same purpose. This creates a common definition and removes all the platform specific versions. Rather than try to make linux/io.h and asm/io.h assembly safe, the assembly version of IOMEM is moved into asm/assembler.h. Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes, and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function no longer does anything useful. For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove these files entirely. 2011-09-26ARM: add an extra temp register to the low level debugging addruart macroNicolas Pitre
Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet. Fix the obvious error in board detection logic, because according to the TS's manual, the model is stored in the least three significant bits. For example the byte read on my ts-7300 is 0x23 and the detection then fails. 2011-08-12ARM: gpio: make trivial GPIOLIB implementation the defaultRussell King
Rather than marking the mach/gpio.h header files which want to use the trivial GPIOLIB implementation, mark those which do not want to use it instead. This means that by default, you get the trivial implementation and only have to do something extra if you need to. This should encourage the use of the trivial default implementation. As an additional bonus, several gpio.h header files become empty. 2011-06-08spi/ep93xx: add DMA supportMika Westerberg
This patch adds DMA support for the EP93xx SPI driver. By default the DMA is not enabled but it can be enabled by setting ep93xx_spi_info.use_dma to true in board configuration file. Note that the SPI driver still uses PIO for small transfers (<= 8 bytes) for performance reasons. 2011-06-08dmaengine: add ep93xx DMA supportMika Westerberg
The ep93xx DMA controller has 10 independent memory to peripheral (M2P) channels, and 2 dedicated memory to memory (M2M) channels. M2M channels can also be used by SPI and IDE to perform DMA transfers to/from their memory mapped FIFOs. This driver supports both M2P and M2M channels with DMA_SLAVE, DMA_CYCLIC and DMA_MEMCPY (M2M only) capabilities.
