2014-08-08lib/scatterlist: clean up useless architecture versions of scatterlist.hLaura Abbott
There's no need to have an architecture version of scatterlist.h if the only thing the file does is include asm-generic/scatterlist.h. Switch to the asm-generic versions directly. 2014-03-13arch: Remove stub cputime.h headersFrederic Weisbecker
Many architectures have a stub cputime.h that only include the default cputime.h Lets remove the useless headers, we only need to mention that we want the default headers on the Kbuild files. 2014-02-09locking/mcs: Order the header files in Kbuild of each architecture in ↵Tim Chen
alphabetical order We perform a clean up of the Kbuid files in each architecture. We order the files in each Kbuild in alphabetical order by running the below script. for i in arch/*/include/asm/Kbuild do cat $i | gawk '/^generic-y/ { i = 3; do { for (; i <= NF; i++) { if ($i == "\\") { getline; i = 1; continue; } if ($i != "") hdr[$i] = $i; } break; } while (1); next; } // { print $0; } END { n = asort(hdr); for (i = 1; i <= n; i++) print "generic-y += " hdr[i]; }' > ${i}.sorted; mv ${i}.sorted $i; done Signed-off-by: Tim Chen <tim.c.chen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Cc: Matthew R Wilcox <matthew.r.wilcox@intel.com> Cc: AswinChandramouleeswaran <aswin@hp.com> Cc: Dave Hansen <dave.hansen@intel.com> Cc: "Paul E.McKenney" <paulmck@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Cc: Scott J Norton <scott.norton@hp.com> Cc: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Cc: "Figo.zhang" <figo1802@gmail.com> Cc: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org> Cc: Rik van Riel <riel@redhat.com> Cc: Waiman Long <waiman.long@hp.com> Cc: Peter Hurley <peter@hurleysoftware.com> Cc: Andrea Arcangeli <aarcange@redhat.com> Cc: Tim Chen <tim.c.chen@linux.intel.com> Cc: Alex Shi <alex.shi@linaro.org> Cc: Raghavendra K T <raghavendra.kt@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Cc: Andi Kleen <andi@firstfloor.org> Cc: George Spelvin <linux@horizon.com> Cc: MichelLespinasse <walken@google.com> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: "H. 2012-11-13tracing,x86: Add a TSC trace_clockDavid Sharp
In order to promote interoperability between userspace tracers and ftrace, add a trace_clock that reports raw TSC values which will then be recorded in the ring buffer. Userspace tracers that also record TSCs are then on exactly the same time base as the kernel and events can be unambiguously interlaced. Tested: Enabled a tracepoint and the "tsc" trace_clock and saw very large timestamp values. v2: Move arch-specific bits out of generic code. v3: Rename "x86-tsc", cleanups v7: Generic arch bits in Kbuild. 2012-10-03asm-generic: Add default clkdev.hMark Brown
Ease the deployment of clkdev by providing a default asm/clkdev.h for use if the arch does not have an include/asm/clkdev.h. Due to limitations in Kbuild we manually add clkdev.h to all architectures that don't have one rather than having the header appear by default. 2008-08-15alpha: move include/asm-alpha to arch/alpha/include/asmLinus Torvalds
Sam Ravnborg did the build-test that the direct header file move works, I'm just committing it.
