2015-09-27Input: edt-ft5x06 - do not hardcode interrupt trigger typeDmitry Torokhov
Instead of hardcoding IRQ trigger type to IRQF_TRIGGER_FALLING, let's respect settings specified in device tree. To be compatible with older DTSes, if trigger type is not set up in DTS we'll set it to default (falling edge). 2015-09-27Input: edt-ft5x06 - switch to newer gpio frameworkFranklin S Cooper Jr
The current/old gpio framework used doesn't properly listen to ACTIVE_LOW and ACTIVE_HIGH flags. The newer gpio framework takes into account these flags when setting gpio values. Since the values being output were based on voltage and not logic they change to reflect this difference. Also use gpiod_set_value_cansleep since wake and reset pins can be provided by bus based io expanders. Switch from msleep(5) to udelay_range(5000,6000) to avoid check patch warning. 2015-08-07Input: elants_i2c - wire up regulator supportDmitry Torokhov
Elan touchscreen controllers use two power supplies, vcc33 and vccio, and we need to enable them before trying to access the device. On X86 firmware usually does this, but on ARM it is usually left to the kernel. 2015-08-03Input: zforce - make the interrupt GPIO optionalDirk Behme
Add support for hardware which uses an I2C Serializer / Deserializer (SerDes) to communicate with the zFroce touch driver. In this case the SerDes will be configured as an interrupt controller and the zForce driver will have no access to poll the GPIO line. To support this, we add two dedicated new GPIOs in the device tree: reset-gpios and irq-gpios, with the irq-gpios being optional. To not break the existing device trees, the index based 'gpios' entries are still supported, but marked as deprecated. With this, if the interrupt GPIO is available, either via the old or new device tree style, the while loop will read and handle the packets as long as the GPIO indicates that the interrupt is asserted (existing, unchanged driver behavior). If the interrupt GPIO isn't available, i.e. not configured via the new device tree style, we are falling back to one read per ISR invocation (new behavior to support the SerDes). Note that the gpiod functions help to handle the optional GPIO: devm_gpiod_get_index_optional() will return NULL in case the interrupt GPIO isn't available. And gpiod_get_value_cansleep() does cover this, too, by returning 0 in this case. A big problem with the current i8042 debugging option is that it outputs data going to and from the keyboard by default. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio into staging-linus Jonathan writes: First set of IIO fixes for the 4.2 cycle. * Fix a regression in hid sensors suspend time as a result of adding runtime pm. The normal flow of waking up devices in order to go into suspend (given the devices are normally suspended when not reading) to a regression in suspend time on some laptops (reports of an additional 8 seconds). Fix this by checking to see if a user action resulting in the wake up, and make it a null operation if it didn't. Note that for hid sensors, there is nothing useful to be done when moving into a full suspend from a runtime suspend so they might as well be left alone. * rochip_saradc: fix some missing MODULE_* data including the licence so that the driver does not taint the kernel incorrectly and can build as a module. * twl4030 - mark irq as oneshot as it always should have been. * inv-mpu - write formats for attributes not specified, leading to miss interpretation of the gyro scale channel when written. * Proximity ABI clarification. This had snuck through as a mess. Some drivers thought proximity went in one direction, some the other. We went with the most common option, documented it and fixed up the drivers going the other way. Fix for sx9500 included in this set. * ad624r - fix a wrong shift in the output data. * at91_adc - remove a false limit on the value of the STARTUP register applied by too small a type for the device tree parameter. * cm3323 - clear the bits when setting the integration time (otherwise we can only ever set more bits in the relevant field). * bmc150-accel - multiple triggers are registered, but on error were not being unwound in the opposite order leading to removal of triggers that had not yet successfully been registered (count down instead of up when unwinding). * tcs3414 - ensure right part of val / val2 pair read so that the integration time is not always 0. * cc10001_adc - bug in kconfig dependency. Use of OR when AND was intended.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/nab/target-pending Pull SCSI target updates from Nicholas Bellinger: "It's been a busy development cycle for target-core in a number of different areas. The fabric API usage for se_node_acl allocation is now within target-core code, dropping the external API callers for all fabric drivers tree-wide. There is a new conversion to RCU hlists for se_node_acl and se_portal_group LUN mappings, that turns fast-past LUN lookup into a completely lockless code-path. It also removes the original hard-coded limitation of 256 LUNs per fabric endpoint. The configfs attributes for backends can now be shared between core and driver code, allowing existing drivers to use common code while still allowing flexibility for new backend provided attributes. The highlights include: - Merge sbc_verify_dif_* into common code (sagi) - Remove iscsi-target support for obsolete IFMarker/OFMarker (Christophe Vu-Brugier) - Add bidi support in target/user backend (ilias + vangelis + agover) - Move se_node_acl allocation into target-core code (hch) - Add crc_t10dif_update common helper (akinobu + mkp) - Handle target-core odd SGL mapping for data transfer memory (akinobu) - Move transport ID handling into target-core (hch) - Move task tag into struct se_cmd + support 64-bit tags (bart) - Convert se_node_acl->device_list[] to RCU hlist (nab + hch + paulmck) - Convert se_portal_group->tpg_lun_list[] to RCU hlist (nab + hch + paulmck) - Simplify target backend driver registration (hch) - Consolidate + simplify target backend attribute implementations (hch + nab) - Subsume se_port + t10_alua_tg_pt_gp_member into se_lun (hch) - Drop lun_sep_lock for se_lun->lun_se_dev RCU usage (hch + nab) - Drop unnecessary core_tpg_register TFO parameter (nab) - Use 64-bit LUNs tree-wide (hannes) - Drop left-over TARGET_MAX_LUNS_PER_TRANSPORT limit (hannes)" * 'for-next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/nab/target-pending: (76 commits) target: Bump core version to v5.0 target: remove target_core_configfs.h target: remove unused TARGET_CORE_CONFIG_ROOT define target: consolidate version defines target: implement WRITE_SAME with UNMAP bit using ->execute_unmap target: simplify UNMAP handling target: replace se_cmd->execute_rw with a protocol_data field target/user: Fix inconsistent kmap_atomic/kunmap_atomic target: Send UA when changing LUN inventory target: Send UA upon LUN RESET tmr completion target: Send UA on ALUA target port group change target: Convert se_lun->lun_deve_lock to normal spinlock target: use 'se_dev_entry' when allocating UAs target: Remove 'ua_nacl' pointer from se_ua structure target_core_alua: Correct UA handling when switching states xen-scsiback: Fix compile warning for 64-bit LUN target: Remove TARGET_MAX_LUNS_PER_TRANSPORT target: use 64-bit LUNs target: Drop duplicate + unused se_dev_check_wce target: Drop unnecessary core_tpg_register TFO parameter ...

Pull NTB updates from Jon Mason: "This includes a pretty significant reworking of the NTB core code, but has already produced some significant performance improvements. An abstraction layer was added to allow the hardware and clients to be easily added. This required rewriting the NTB transport layer for this abstraction layer. This modification will allow future "high performance" NTB clients. In addition to this change, a number of performance modifications were added. These changes include NUMA enablement, using CPU memcpy instead of asyncdma, and modification of NTB layer MTU size" * tag 'ntb-4.2' of git://github.com/jonmason/ntb: (22 commits) NTB: Add split BAR output for debugfs stats NTB: Change WARN_ON_ONCE to pr_warn_once on unsafe NTB: Print driver name and version in module init NTB: Increase transport MTU to 64k from 16k NTB: Rename Intel code names to platform names NTB: Default to CPU memcpy for performance NTB: Improve performance with write combining NTB: Use NUMA memory in Intel driver NTB: Use NUMA memory and DMA chan in transport NTB: Rate limit ntb_qp_link_work NTB: Add tool test client NTB: Add ping pong test client NTB: Add parameters for Intel SNB B2B addresses NTB: Reset transport QP link stats on down NTB: Do not advance transport RX on link down NTB: Differentiate transport link down messages NTB: Check the device ID to set errata flags NTB: Enable link for Intel root port mode in probe NTB: Read peer info from local SPAD in transport NTB: Split ntb_hw_intel and ntb_transport drivers ...
