git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC DT updates from Olof Johansson: "DT and DT-conversion-related changes for various ARM platforms. Most of these are to enable various devices on various boards, etc, and not necessarily worth enumerating. New boards and systems continue to come in as new devicetree files that don't require corresponding C changes any more, which is indicating that the system is starting to work fairly well. A few things worth pointing out: * ST Ericsson ux500 platforms have made the major push to move over to fully support the platform with DT * Renesas platforms continue their conversion over from legacy platform devices to DT-based for hardware description" * tag 'dt-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (327 commits) ARM: dts: SiRF: add pin group for USP0 with only RX or TX frame sync ARM: dts: SiRF: add lost usp1_uart_nostreamctrl pin group for atlas6 ARM: dts: sirf: add lost minigpsrtc device node ARM: dts: sirf: add clock, frequence-voltage table for CPU0 ARM: dts: sirf: add lost bus_width, clock and status for sdhci ARM: dts: sirf: add lost clocks for cphifbg ARM: dts: socfpga: add pl330 clock ARM: dts: socfpga: update L2 tag and data latency arm: sun7i: cubietruck: Enable the i2c controllers ARM: dts: add support for EXYNOS4412 based TINY4412 board ARM: dts: Add initial support for Arndale Octa board ARM: bcm2835: add USB controller to device tree ARM: dts: MSM8974: Add MMIO architected timer node ARM: dts: MSM8974: Add restart node ARM: dts: sun7i: external clock outputs ARM: dts: sun7i: Change 32768 Hz oscillator node name to clk@N style ARM: dts: sun7i: Add pin muxing options for clock outputs ARM: dts: sun7i: Add rtp controller node ARM: dts: sun5i: Add rtp controller node ARM: dts: sun4i: Add rtp controller node ...

2013-12-11ARM: tegra: document reset properties in DT bindingsStephen Warren
Update all the Tegra DT bindings to require resets/reset-names properties where the HW module has reset inputs. Remove any entries from clocks or clock-names that were only required to identify reset inputs, rather than referring to real clocks. This is a DT-ABI-incompatible change. It is the first of two changes required for me to consider the Tegra DT bindings as stable, the other being conversion to the common DMA DT bindings. 2013-12-11ARM: tegra: add missing clock documentation to DT bindingsStephen Warren
Many of the Tegra DT binding documents say nothing about the clocks or clock-names properties, yet those are present and required in DT files. This patch simply updates the documentation file to match the implicit definition of the binding, based on real-world DT content. All Tegra bindings that mention clocks are updated to have consistent wording and formatting of the clock-related properties. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next Felipe writes: usb: patches for v3.13 Final conversions to configfs for mass storage, acm_ms, and multi gadgets. MUSB should now work out of the box on AM335x-based boards (beagle bone white and black) with DMA thanks to Sebastian's work. We can now enable VERBOSE_DEBUG on builds of drivers/usb/gadget/ by selecting CONFIG_USB_GADGET_VERBOSE. s3c-hsotg got quite a few non-critical fixes but also learned a few new tricks (isochronous transfers, multi count support). The Marvel USB3 Controller driver got a memory leak fix. devm_usb_get_phy() learned not to return NULL, ever. Other than these patches, we have the usual set of cleanups ranging from removal of unnecessary *_set_drvdata() to using SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS. Signed-of-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

2013-10-04usb: phy: generic: Don't use regulator framework for RESET lineRoger Quadros
Modelling the RESET line as a regulator supply wasn't a good idea as it kind of abuses the regulator framework and also makes adaptation code more complex. Instead, manage the RESET gpio line directly in the driver. Update the device tree binding information. This also makes us easy to migrate to a dedicated GPIO RESET controller whenever it becomes available. Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2013-10-03usb: musb: omap2430: Don't use omap_get_control_dev()Roger Quadros
omap_get_control_dev() is being deprecated as it doesn't support multiple instances. As control device is present only from OMAP4 onwards which supports DT only, we use phandles to get the reference to the control device. Also get rid of "ti,has-mailbox" property as it is redundant and we can determine that from whether "ctrl-module" property is present or not. Get rid of has_mailbox from musb_hdrc_platform_data as well. Signed-off-by: Roger Quadros <rogerq@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-10-03usb: phy: omap: Add new device types and remove omap_control_usb3_phy_power()Roger Quadros
Add support for new device types and in the process rid of "ti,type" device tree property. The correct type of device will be determined from the compatible string instead. Introduce a compatible string for each device type. At the moment we support 4 types OTGHS, USB2, PIPE3 (e.g. USB3) and DRA7USB2. Update DT binding information to reflect these changes. Also get rid of omap_control_usb3_phy_power(). Just one function i.e. omap_control_usb_phy_power() will now take care of all PHY types. 2013-09-26dt: dbx5x0: remove mentor,musb bindingSebastian Andrzej Siewior
The "mentor,musb" binding isn't documented so I was about to document it. The node is missing a few properties for configuration like "multipoint", "dyn_fifo", "num_eps" or "ram_bits". However I am not sure "missing" is the right word here because some of those informations might be obtained from the chip itself but it is not done (yet). Further the ePARP 2.3.1 says the matching goes from left to right taking the fist match. Right now there is jus a driver for "stericsson,db8500-musb" and none for "mentor,musb". I'm not 100% that it is simply possible to have a generic since even for DMA we have ifdefs in the driver between "generic mentor dma" and "ux500 dma" and I mean within musb and not the dma code. For that reason (that I am not sure a generic musb binding is possible and how its binding / required properties will look like) and the reason that we have here a minor binding without a driver to look at I suggest to remove that binding. If the majority of people prefer to keep this binding I'm curious how the documentation of the binding should look like. 2013-08-27usb: usb: dsps: update device tree bindingsSebastian Andrzej Siewior
The support for both am335x-USB instances required changes to the device tree bindings. This patch reflects these changes in the bindings document. v3…v4: - remove the child node for USB. This is driver specific on won't be reflected in the device tree - use the "mentor" prefix instead of "mg". - use "dr_mode" istead of "mg,port-mode" for the port mode. The former is used by a few other drivers. v2…v3: - use proper usb-phy nodes in evm, bone and evmsk device tree. v1…v2: - use mg prefix for the Metor Graphics specific attributes - use power in mA not in mA/2 as specifed in the USB2.0 specification - use usbX-phy instead of usbX_phy - use dma-controller instead of dma Cc: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com> Cc: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com> Cc: Mark Rutland <mark.rutland@arm.com> Cc: Stephen Warren <swarren@wwwdotorg.org> Cc: Ian Campbell <ian.campbell@citrix.com> Cc: devicetree@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

Hi Greg, This pull request includes one new feature for the xhci-plat driver (device tree support). Felipe was fine with the patch last I checked, but hadn't provided an official Acked-by line. This pull request also includes 13 patches from my FOSS Outreach Program for Women (OPW) intern, Xenia. She fixed a bug in the xHCI driver so that the driver can allocate 64-bit consistent DMA, converted the driver to use dynamic debugging, and added a bunch of new trace events for the xHCI driver. The python plugin for trace-cmd should be up on git hub shortly, although the trace events are usable without it. I'm very happy with the progress that Xenia has made, and I look forward to her future contributions to the Linux kernel. Sarah Sharp

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC driver specific changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes are all driver specific and cross over between arm-soc contents and some other subsystem, in these cases cpufreq, crypto, dma, pinctrl, mailbox and usb, and the subsystem owners agreed to have these changes merged through arm-soc. As we proceed to untangle the dependencies between platform code and driver code, the amount of changes in this category is fortunately shrinking, for 3.11 we have 16 branches here and 101 non-merge changesets, the majority of which are for the stedma40 dma engine driver used in the ux500 platform. Cleaning up that code touches multiple subsystems, but gets rid of the dependency in the end. The mailbox code moved out from mach-omap2 to drivers/mailbox is an intermediate step and is still omap specific at the moment. Patches exist to generalize the subsystem and add other drivers with the same API, but those did not make it for 3.11." * tag 'drivers-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (101 commits) crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_submit API crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_prep_slave_sg API crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_device_control API crypto: ux500/crypt: add missing __iomem qualifiers crypto: ux500/hash: add missing static qualifiers crypto: ux500/hash: use readl on iomem addresses dmaengine: ste_dma40: Declare memcpy config as static ARM: ux500: Remove mop500_snowball_ethernet_clock_enable() ARM: ux500: Correct the EN_3v3 regulator's on/off GPIO ARM: ux500: Provide a AB8500 GPIO Device Tree node gpio: rcar: fix gpio_rcar_of_table gpio-rcar: Remove #ifdef CONFIG_OF around OF-specific sections gpio-rcar: Reference core gpio documentation in the DT bindings clk: exynos5250: Add enum entries for divider clock of i2s1 and i2s2 ARM: dts: Update Samsung I2S documentation ARM: dts: add clock provider information for i2s controllers in Exynos5250 ARM: dts: add Exynos audio subsystem clock controller node clk: samsung: register audio subsystem clocks using common clock framework ARM: dts: use #include for all device trees for Samsung pinctrl: s3c24xx: use correct header for chained_irq functions ...

2013-06-20mfd: twl-core: Change TWL6025 references to TWL6032Graeme Gregory
The TWL6025 was never released beyond sample form and was replaced by the PhoenixLite range of chips - TWL6032. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next Felipe writes: usb: patches for v3.11 merge window All function drivers are now converted to our new configfs-based binding. Eventually this will help us getting rid of in-kernel gadget drivers and only keep function drivers in the kernel. MUSB was taught that it needs to be built for host-only and device-only modes too. We had this support long ago but it involved a ridiculous amount of ifdefs. Now we have a much cleaner approach. Samsung Exynos4 platform now implements HSIC support. We're introducing support for AB8540 and AB9540 PHYs. MUSB module reinsertion now works as expected, before we were getting -EBUSY being returned by the resource checks done on driver core. DWC3 now has minimum support for TI's AM437x series of SoCs. OMAP5 USB3 PHY learned one extra DPLL configuration values because that PHY is reused in TI's DRA7xx devices. We're introducing support for Faraday fotg210 UDCs. Last, but not least, the usual set of non-critical fixes and cleanups ranging from usage of platform_{get,set}_drvdata to lock improvements.
