If we never received a RET_UNLINK because the TCP connection broke the pending URBs still need to be unlinked and given back. Previously processes would be stuck trying to kill the URB even after the device was detached. 2011-01-20staging: usbip: stub: update refcounts for devices and interfacesMax Vozeler
The stub driver expects to access the usb interface and usb device structures even if the device has been disconnected in the meantime. This change gets a reference to them in the stub probe function using usb_get_intf()/usb_get_dev() and drops them in the disconnect function. Lately, mailbox callbacks have been replaced by notifier block call chains, this needs to be changed in the users of mailbox, otherwise compilation will break due to missing parameters. 2011-01-20staging: comedi: ni_labpc: Use shared IRQ for PCMCIA cardIan Abbott
The ni_labpc driver module only requests a shared IRQ for PCI devices, requesting a non-shared IRQ for non-PCI devices. As this module is also used by the ni_labpc_cs module for certain National Instruments PCMCIA cards, it also needs to request a shared IRQ for PCMCIA devices, otherwise you get a IRQ mismatch with the CardBus controller. IVA MMU can manage up to 4GB of address space through its page tables, given that it's L1 is divided into 1MB sections it requires at least 16KB for its table which represents 4096 entries of 32 bits each. Previously, only 1GB was being handled by setting the page table size to 4KB, any virtual address beyond of the L1 size used, would fall into memory that does not belong to L1 translation tables, leading to unpredictable results. So, set the L1 table size to cover the entire MMU range (4GB) whether is meant to be used or not. The original code called input_free_device(rmi4_data->input_dev) after input_unregister_device(rmi4_data->input_dev) and that's a double free. This is described in the comments to input_unregister_device(). The normal way to handle this is to make input_register_device() the last function in the probe which can fail. 2011-01-20staging: hv: Removed unneeded call to netif_stop_queue() in hv_netvscHank Janssen
Removed the call to netif_stop_queue() in netvsc_probe() as the queue is not initialized at that point and further call to it after queue initialization is really not necessary. This change was prompted after an upstream change went into 2.6.37 (netif_tx_stop_queue) that now checks if netif_stop_queue is called before register with netdev is done. This will eliminate the warning message to the log when hv_netvsc driver starts up. 2011-01-18MIPS: Malta: enable Cirrus FB consoleAurelien Jarno
While most users of a physical Malta board are using the serial port as the console, a lot of QEMU users would prefer to interact with a graphical console. Enable the Cirrus FB support in the Malta default configuration to make that possible. Note that the default console will still be the serial port, users have to pass "console=tty0" to the kernel to use the Cirrus FB. Just do what everyone else is doing by placing __read_mostly things in the .data.read_mostly section. mips_io_port_base can not be read-only (const) and writable (__read_mostly) at the same time. One of them has to go, so I chose to eliminate the __read_mostly. It will still get stuck in a portion of memory that is not adjacent to things that are written, and thus not be on a dirty cache line, for whatever that is worth. Several boards are using the built-in SPI controller of the AR71XX/AR724X/AR913X SoCs. This patch adds common platform_device and helper code to register it. 2011-01-18MIPS: Add initial support for the Atheros AR71XX/AR724X/AR931X SoCsGabor Juhos
This patch adds initial support for various Atheros SoCs based on the MIPS 24Kc core. The following models are supported at the moment: - AR7130 - AR7141 - AR7161 - AR9130 - AR9132 - AR7240 - AR7241 - AR7242 The current patch contains minimal support only, but the resulting kernel can boot into user-space with using of an initramfs image on various boards which are using these SoCs. Support for more built-in devices and individual boards will be implemented in further patches. On the off chance that uasm ever warns about overflow, there is no way to know what the offending instruction is. Change the printks to WARNs, so we can get a nice stack trace. It has the added benefit of being much more noticeable than the short single line warning message, so is less likely to be ignored.
